It's getting to the ridiculous stage. Usually, I avoid mainstream media, especially tv and radio, therefore, I don't know the numbers of cases or deaths in this country. I happened to hear a snippet of a radio programme recently. I think that the discussion panel comprised politicians, presumably from the government and opposition parties but I don't know who they were. I gather that there has been an increase in the number of cases here. Someone asked the question as to how this could be when we are the most vaccinated and have had the longest lockdown in Europe. The response was a demurral about being the most vaccinated because we may be marginally behind some other country. My jaw dropped when I heard the rest of the reply..........it's because we are so close to Britain, especially Northern Ireland! So, when all else fails we can blame the Brits because their handling of the pandemic has been so terrible. Russel Brand is another person I would normally avoid like the plague. I was doing something else while listening to the video you posted and this video played automatically when your video finished. That I find myself agreeing with Russell Brand on anything is a sure sign that we are living through weird times. His video is funny but it also is further evidence of what some famous person whose name escapes me once said along the lines of if voting did us any good they wouldn't let us do it. I can't recall the exact line but it might have been Mark Twain who said it.

This was provided by NISRA based on their 2021 mid year population projections. But remember that anyone who has just received a jab within 14 days, whether it is their 1st jab or second, counts towards the Unvaccinated. The same thing applies when someone dies in the hospital. Age 70-79 Unvaccinated accounted for 592.3 admissions per 100,000. 1st Jab 313.5 admissions per 100,000. Second Jab 128.3 admissions per 100,000. Hospital Admissions • Three-quarters of adult COVID-19 inpatients aged under 50 are unvaccinated. 20% of COVID-19 inpatients aged 50 and over are unvaccinated. • Unvaccinated individuals aged 50 and over are almost 5 times as likely to be admitted to hospital with COVID- 19 than fully vaccinated individuals. • For adults under 50,whilst the numbers admitted to hospital are lower, in unvaccinated individuals almost 16 times as likely to need hospitalisation from COVID-19. Deaths • Unvaccinated individuals aged 50 and over are almost 4 times as likely to die. • These results should be interpreted in the context of vaccine coverage in the Northern Ireland population (Figures 1 and 2). The success of the vaccination programme has resulted in a very small percentage of unvaccinated individuals, particularly for the older age cohorts. When there is a very high vaccine coverage in the population, even with a highly effective vaccine, it is expected that a large proportion of cases, hospitalisations and deaths would occur in vaccinated individuals. This is simply because a larger proportion of the population are vaccinated than unvaccinated and no vaccine is 100% effective. This is especially true because vaccination has been prioritised in individuals who are more susceptible or more at risk of severe disease. Individuals in risk groups may also be more at risk of hospitalisation or death due to non-COVID-19 causes, and thus may be hospitalised or die with COVID-19 rather than because of COVID-19. Death and admissions rates per 100,000 should therefore be interpreted with caution. Vaccination Status Methods • Patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19 are identified using specific Method of Admission Codes. Transfers between hospitals are counted as one admission. Patients are allocated to an age cohort based on their age at date of admission. Patient records are continually updated by HSC Trusts and thus historical data is subject to revision. Further technical guidance on COVID-19 admissions is appended. • The number of deaths is as reported to the Public Health Agency where the deceased has had a positive test for COVID-19 and dies within 28 days, whether or not COVID-19 was the cause of death. Yes Padraig, it was the European protest that recently finally inspired New Yorkers to start their own protest. The USA is lagging behind Europe on this and like you, watching all of them unite behind the same message to their respective governments gives me some hope too! If we allow any government…or business to dictate what we put into OUR own body, then we have no more rights. More than a simple retraction due to some errors. The whole thing seems to have been a total fabrication and I think that the Lancet may have ad to acknowledge that after an investigation by the Guardian newspaper. The Guardian is a very left wing paper so the usual "right Wing fake news" slur wouldn't have sufficed for a denial in that case.
