Padraig wrote 'We have not, as yet moved into the fullness of the Tribulation yet, no matter how bad things seem to be getting'. The tribulations that are to come will be unprecedented in world history and will be a time of sorrow unlike any other - it will literally 'put the fear of God into people' and some will die from fright and shock. We are not quite there yet so ---- What then is the signal event that triggers the tribulations? There has to be some event that pushes the world from grace to justice? What is true is that we will all need the grace of God each day to endure the tribulations mentally and physically. I wonder too if some of us are young enough to survive the tribulations, and see the victory of the Great Catholic monarch and the era of peace prophecised at Fatima and also to witness the 2nd great era of evangelization as prophecised by John Paul the Great? It will be a miracle of grace if we do survive, especially those of us who reside in Europe for our continent will suffer the most having apostacised from the truth and rejected Christ's teachings.

Well, since it has to come before the Miracle, which is the third secret of Medjugorje, and also the warning is the first of the events prophecised at Garabandal. I think that it is indeed what it says it is: a warning from God to invite us to grow in holiness in a world that has lost all sense of the supernatural. Think of the reaction that the warning will generate. Millions across the world will not have a clue as to what happened, and some will act desperately. It is like a detonation switch that could set the rest of the secrets in progress. Think of how shocking the Warning, followed shortly afterwards by the Miracle, will be to this secular world, which must occur during Pope Benedict's reign.
You know, its sounds a funny thing to say , but God is doing this for our own benefit so that we might live simply Godly lives. I called down to see my brother, Sean a little while ago. He had been a very wealthy property developer and financier before the crash and lost just about everything. Before the crash he had a heart attack and was very overweight from living a very stressful and unhealthy lifestyle. he was and is a good person , but always helping poor people who needed a help out. Now he has lost four stone. He has stopped drinking and smoking. He has closed his buisness and works from home which is far more calming. He even walked to the top of a large mountain the week before, something he had never done in years. But also there is about him a calm and peace I have never seen before. I think he has reconsidered his priorities from the material to the really necessary and I think, though he did not say so he is more open to God's Will. This cannot be bad, it is all good. I think right across the globe people are coming to this place. I think though we are just at the start of this process and things like food shortages and real hunger and massive power outages are to come leading to people, the Faithful constructing their own communites in order to survive. This may sound fearful and terrible, but out of this something wonderful will grow, real love and real community, a renewed living Church as described in the Acts of the Apostles. This rebirth, like all births will be very painful, but the new baby will be worth waiting for when she is delivered.

Please elaborate I hope Sean doesn't mind if I 'pitch in' here: Garabandal On 3 June 1963 — the day of the passing of Pope John XXIII — after learning that the village bells were tolling for the pope, Conchita made a startling remark to her mother Aniceta: “For sure…now there remain no more than three [popes]!” (Seguramente… Pues, ya no quedan mas que tres!)1 Although this was the first time that Aniceta had heard this announcement, it appears that Conchita had made mention of this more than six months earlier to others. She perhaps first was told this on 20 December 1962, as indicated by a letter that Conchita’s aunt Maximina sent to friends that same day. Naturally, Aniceta was shocked, and asked if this meant the end of the world was approaching (?Quiere decir que viene ya el fin del mundo?). Conchita’s response was that the Virgin did not say “the end of the world”, but rather “the end of the times”. Subsequent recorded comments by Conchita on the matter are few. We know that some days later (probably 5 June) she mentioned three times to three women that there would be only three more popes (Digo tambien que ya solo quedan tres Papas.) after which would come “the end of the times”. Here she added that, again, she did not know what this enigmatic phrase meant. At least four other times Conchita repeated this statement (once to no less eminent a personage than Fr. Lucio Rodrigo, then a professor of moral theology at the Pontifical University at Comillas). Since the death of Pope John XXIII there have been the 3 Popes therefore one can conclude that the Garabandal events that is the Warning & Miracle, which 'signal' the end of times will occur under the Pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI. Paul VI (1963-78) John Paul I (1978) John Paul II (1978-2005) Given also that Joey Lomangino, the blind apostle of Garabandal is awaiting new eyesight on the day of the Miracle, and he is soon to be an octogenarian then it is likely that the Garabandal events are closer than we think. Add also St Malachy's prophecies on Popes and we get a very powerful sense of the Times - St Malachy has only one more Pope on his list after Pope Benedict [the Glory of the Olives] signalling the end of this time of History [it is not the end of Popes or of time but the end of an epoch]. Peter the Great [the last Pope on St Malachy's list] In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge his people. The End. So we can see from these prophecies we are really close to major events that signal the end of this age of History, and we are on the cusp of a new era of peace after the tribulations.
I knew all this...what is wrong with me, I forgot about the three Popes prophecy at Garabandal pointing toward this Pontificate...well, it is good to reiterate these things now and then anyway for others. And you did it so well, Thanks, Garabandal!
Of course this is true, the Wraning will come first and soon, it had slipped my mind too. But the Warning must come first , it is the nly way to explain the coming schism in the Church, the Great World Persecution and the divsion of the USA. The good will get great graces after the Warning and be confirmed in their faith and many, many will be converted and set on the path to heaven. However those who reject the Warning will be many, many times more evil than they are now as they would be spitting in the face of God. I can see how this would lead to a great parting of the ways in say, the USA for oil and water do not mix and it would be impossible for both these camps to co exist peacefully under any one Government. It would explain the anger and killing rage I witnessed. So either the Warning is a first cause or highly contirbutary to this. It reminds me of Moses leading the Chosen people out of Egypt, some wanted to follow Moses, many did not and this led to all kinds of trouble and violence. So after The Warning some will want to walk to the Promised Land, the Triumph of Mary and some will wish to remain in the Flesh Pots of Egypt. A parting of the Ways.
The Warning gives each person the opportunity to see if they are in a state of mortal sin in a moment of angelic-like spiritual clarity where we have to make a conscious decision to walk the narrow path of faith or to walk along the wide path of perdition - it is the decisive moment for poor humanity. It is the St Paul on the road to Damascus experience - thankfully Saul was converted & there arose a great saint. But God coerces no one and all will have free will to accept or reject the grace of the warning - for those in mortal sin who reject this grace they will become like the devils in the knowledge that they are rejecting God and choosing sin and darkness over grace and light.
