Beyond the other advice already given here ...
The demonic love drama, and creating a big drama and a fuss, that's all part of their trap. Ignoring it and praying the Rosary etc. is the best.
If ever faced with such a situation, do not command the entity directly in the name of God whatever you do. We do not have that type of authority, and it knows it.
Pray to Our Lady etc. instead and ask her to handle it, and ignore its fuss and drama.

If only young people (myself included when I was younger) were attracted to the peace of God as much as they are by so called excitement and so called adventure. (Sorry to sound such a curmudgeon)

The worst thing either of you can do is play into these things hands and accept the implied invitation/attraction by going back. Any unconfessed mortal sin on either of you, and it may have a green light to do as it pleases from a possession point of view, and the effects can remain dormant without a sign for years.

It's not movie, video game or adventure. You may both think you can survive the next encounter unscathed, and have an entertaining story to tell, but that's not how it will work out long term.

The effects may take years to reveal, from addictions to broken relationships and all sorts of horrible and decidedly unexciting long term problems in life, too varied to all list.

If your friend shows any further signs of problems, get him to a Priest that is experienced in this kind of thing for some deliverance prayers etc., and then put the whole thing out of your minds and onto something constructive and productive with your free time. (Apologies, but as boring and preachy as that line is, it's still true.)
