I always believed Walford does not have the intellectual capacity to be a theologian as he tends to contradict himself quite a lot in his work & use selective evidence to justify his arguments -- as pointed put by Steven O'Reilly in his blog. https://romalocutaest.com/author/romalocutaest/
But it is so interesting how someone like Stephen has been, 'Picked up on', by the Vatican. They must be really desperate.
Exactly, this is a real mystery. I think it is because they like 'yes' men. Walford is simply a little pawn in a bigger game.
I think a big problem for them is that they are doing most baly on the internet and Stephen they think, has a big internet, 'Foot print'.
