Byron, Twice - and immediately following a post of mine - you've posted this same Vid..

Are we to believe that St. John Paul II - who spoke with Sr. Lucia of Fatima in 1991 re: the 3rd Secret - and published what is referred to as the complete text of the 3rd Secret - somehow knowingly held back?

    Yes.

Antonio Socci has a good explanation why in “The Fourth Secret of Fatima.”

Chris Ferrara summarizes this in his book, The Secret Still Hidden,

Bertone and the other Vatican officials involved may be employing what the moral theologians call a “broad mental reservation,” meaning an equivocal statement or statements made with a qualification hidden in the mind of the speaker.

…Suppose Bertone and company have been persuaded—or have persuaded themselves—that the missing portion of the Secret is “not authentic” but rather something Sister Lucia only thought she had heard from the Virgin Mary. In that case, a broad mental reservation would involve a statement such as: “We have revealed the authentic Third Secret,” with the mental reservation “but not what we deem the inauthentic words attributed to the Virgin.” As we will see, Cardinal Bertone has employed precisely such language in discussing what the Vatican revealed in June of 2000.

…Socci’s own hypothesis along these lines, to which we shall return, is that while John Paul II expressed the desire to reveal the entirety of the Third Secret, “a compromise solution was reached.” It was decided to reveal the missing portion of the Third Secret indirectly through the Pope’s sermon at Fatima on May 13, 2000, wherein the Pope (as Sister Lucia did) linked the Secret to apostasy in the Church by pointed references to verses 1, 3 and 4 of Chapter 12 of the Book of the Apocalypse. The idea, writes Socci in an allusion to Scripture, is: “He who can understand, let him understand.”10 This indirect revelation of the missing text, combined with publication of the vision, “would have permitted them [the Curia] to be able to say that all of the Third Secret had been revealed, but without an integral explicit publication to avoid—according to their view—a great shock to the Christian people, sensationalistic broadcasts and a reaction of panic.”11

This is a perfect place to say that I disagree.. for several reasons; one of which IMO is that it paints JPII and Lucia in a less than completely forthright manner.

JPII deferred to Bertone in 2000.

Sr. Lucia only stated JPII’s consecration of Russia was “accepted” by Heaven. (It certainly had salutary effects, see the Russian Northern Fleet ammo depot explosion shortly after his consecration, which may have prevented their planned invasion of Europe at the time, and this WWIII.)

She never claimed it fulfilled the requests of Our Lady of Fatima for the consecration of Russia. Neither is there any tangible evidence she said the Third Secret was revealed in whole in 2000.

She never learned to type. All her correspondence was hand written.

If you can show me a hand written correspondence from her that JPII’s consecration fulfilled the requirements of Our Lady of Fatima, or that the revelation of the “Third Secret” was made in full in 2000 by the Vatican, then I’ll reconsider.

Sorry, but I must disregard any statements by Bertone claiming to be quoting Sr. Lucia.

I feel he is the individual who orchestrated the release of only part of the Third Secret in 2000, and falsely claimed the assassination attempt on JPII fulfilled that vision, and anything he says cannot be taken at face value.

With all due respect, this is the time to agree that we disagree.. yes?

I continue to agree with all of what I've said and I avoid getting into debating opinions, speculations and feelings - of which I'm not bound to accept.

I'm never into dates and I'm very content knowing God's Prophetic Revelations to Man - as per Jesus.. along with pertinent Catholic Church Magisterium (which is subject to Sacred Scriptures).

    CCC

675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.

677 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection.

The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy,

but only by God's victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride (JESUS) to come down from heaven.

God's triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgment after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.

I don't know much about all this, but I'd be reluctant to think that something that is 'accepted' by Heaven is anything other than mighty indeed and likewise in its consequences.

I’m not claiming it wasn’t “mighty” in its consequences. I’m just saying it didn’t fulfill the request of Our Lady of Fatima. The fact Russia recently started a war in Eastern Europe and the consecration was subsequently done recently by Pope Francis wholly corroborates this IMO.

Reflecting the 'narrative' of the West's antiChristian MSMedia machine, that so-called "fact" is not only very debatable
Pope Francis recently caught the attention of Poland and US/NATO pawn Zelenskyy - for saying this:

Pope Francis has recently said Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine was “perhaps somehow provoked”
as he recalled a conversation in the run-up to the war in which he was warned Nato was “barking at the gates of Russia”.

US/NATO childishly ignored Months of Russia's RED LINE WARNINGS
and topped it off by peddling a NATO UKR w/Zel speaking of accepting Nukes - on the Border of Russia?

Now? The entire world is beginning to pay the price of the US's foolishly poking the Bear..

I’m no fanboy apologist of this demonic western elite/ NATO/ NWO proxy war in Ukraine and the constant eastward expansion of NATO despite treaties to the contrary.. I think Russia was in a sense justified in lashing out in the face of this constant provocation by the west. That’s why I no longer post on the Ukraine war thread.

That this view may also be spouted by Pope Francis, however, makes me question it too.

Don’t question it. This Pope was playing both sides.

According to legend, St. Francis of Assisi took Lucifer’s seat in heaven. Irony to the max.
