Thanks Jo M, I saw the photograph on a Fb page called 'Universal Archconfraternity of Saint Philomena' and that link to the website on St. Philomena was also there. There were images from various parts of the world including a stained glass window of St. Philomena in a Church in Dublin (where I live) dedicated to her.

I don't often go into the city centre these days but happened to be there yesterday and on the 'other side' of the river (crossing the Liffey brings you from the South side of Dublin to the North side). There is a Blessed Sacrament Chapel not far from O'Connell Bridge and it's been a while since I visited. I remembered seeing a statue of Saint Philomena last time I was in the Chapel. I also took a some photographs while there. St. Philomena, pray for us.
They say that God can bring good even out of something bad. In the case of Saint Philomena, who was removed from the liturgical calendar because of a certain degree of historical rigorism, the conclusive proof that she truly existed lies in the countless and undeniable graces obtained through her intercession. It is as if we had a direct line to Heaven through which we could prove that she really existed, without the need for a certain degree of historical and scientific rigor, but simply through a method based solely on faith, because without faith it is impossible to please God.
