Wow… this is a very deep and moving thread thanks to Carolyn beautiful posts about her personal stand abd struggle. Really quite brave of her to share as much her situation but her own struggle on how to respond. And I so appreciate Terry’s words of wisdom that we have moved into that area of personal conscience in our decisions. We each are facing the “ beast “ of totalitarianism and will need to respond as best we can. At this moment, this little flock here is needed more than ever to pray for one an other. We may not always agree but this deep sense now of unity in prayer is all around me. It’s going to get worse soon. Prayer is the answer. But for some (maybe most -who knows) actions - perhaps forms of martyrdom will be asked of us. And martyrdom does not necessarily mean physical death but could be loss of income, separation from family, being ostracized , etc. While all of this is now being faced by Carolyn and Australia, it’s coming to all of us. Terry’s post reminded me that with the exception of the disciple John and the women especially Our Lady - all abandoned Christ. Carolyn - your at the foot of the Cross in good company today. But, the good news is that All the disciples with exception of Judas who lost hope and faith that even he could have been forgiven came back to the Lord. With the power of the Holy Spirit they spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Life is not about here and now - the physical on this planet we call Earth, but is everlasting. Our destiny is with Jesus - He loves each of us where we are today and will protect our spiritual lives. Praying for the strength, courage, and grace to continue to convert and be formed to the will of Jesus Christ.
I so agree …none of us are living the lives of the other…no one can judge…only God. I think if you do have a exceptional spiritual director, that would be a good source to discuss this with. No two situations are the same and no two decisions would be either….

I was fishing while my friend was sleeping and a storm came, i was scared for my life. I was walking with my friend and a crowd surrounded us. I was scared. I was eating dinner,with my friend, with seedy people, i was scared. I was with my friend when he was arrested and did nothing. I loved my best friend and denied him three times. God understands...all you can do is get spiritually strong and He will lead. God Bless all of us.

Thank you and I want to thank all of the MoG forum members for all your prayers; be they prayers for specific personal intentions or more general, because all prayer is powerful, and combined they are a mighty force. All prayer obstructs and deflects the evil one intentions and God uses each prayer to aid other prayers; we may think our tiny prayers (if not allocated to an intention) have limited effect in specific intensions, however this is far from the truth, because we are part of the communion of saints and our prayers are joined in union to the saints in heaven and the holy souls in purgatory and God dispenses the graces due to them . Our collective prayers inhibit the powers of evil in ways unimaginable in human terms. So thank you for praying for your families and the holy souls, because we are all one, and those prayers have helped me too! After much human deliberation on my part, plus much accidental inspirations from God, I decided to submit my objection to the proposed 'digital identity legislation' and I did this today (the 27 October) at approximately 3 pm with the deadline being 5pm. It has been hard to word my objection as I have had no political or legal help nor any real understanding of what to say to legislators, especially as I did not want to draw attention to myself (as my friend indicated could happen if I submit a response) so I have spent days rewording my objections, so as not to offend the powers that be! I am posting my objection below as it may help others in other countries, if this legislation comes your way. Dear Member of the Legislative council, As an Australian Citizen who has enjoyed the freedoms of the Australian constitution, I don’t believe that this proposed ‘digital identity legislation’ should be considered at this time. I believe the risks outweigh the benefits, mainly due to the current emergency pandemic measures enforced at this present time. Implementing this legislation may prove unsafe and threaten the very rights and liberties of the citizens it proports to protect. In Australia we have, inalienable rights; which include but are not limited to self-determination, primacy of family, the right to vote, to private property, to a fair trial, to health care and education, freedom of speech and assembly, freedom from discrimination and protection from imprisonment for arbitrary reasons and protection from torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment. Today these constitutional rights are threatened by the covid 19 pandemic induced emergency measures of lockdowns, mandated mask wearing, social distancing, business closures, etc, Additionally despite the fact that the current experimental vaccinations treatment for covid 19, have not been studied for medium- to long-term adverse effects nor do these vaccines provide protection to the recipient, from the unvaccinated; we witness a relentless campaign to throw caution to the wind and accept these vaccines as a preventative treatment. As scientific proof seems to have lost validity in Australia, we see citizens who are exercising caution, prudence and common sense (the unvaccinated) losing their jobs, unable to find work, with ever-declining constitutional rights and a vaccinated verses unvaccinated society emerge, which has effectively produced an apartheid system of segregation and discrimination. At present Australian society is witnessing the process whereby the individual loses their personal dignity and with an added digital identity legislation, this could escalate, reducing the human person to a resource, where a social credit system and surveillance become a norm with human rights obliterated, as we see in communist China and North Korea today. Let us remember the history of socialism, communism and fascism which produced oligarchical collective totalitarian dictatorships that ever tightened their grip of control on their fellow citizens, resulting firstly in confusion, loss of logic, paranoia, modification of human behaviour and eventually caused the loss of objective truth, imprisonment and even death of innocent citizens. Common sense would indicate that centralising information as proposed by the ‘Digital Identity exposure draft’ in these unprecedented times, would exacerbate the loss of human rights. I urge caution because what is at risk is our Australian society. I do not want to see the digital identity legislation introduced at this time. We must at least wait until this pandemic is over. With great respect to you personally and to your work, I think the system is trying to take a piecemeal approach. For example, here they have first targeted healthcare and border workers, now teachers and hospitality. I believe our only chance is to stand united, and this means to take a stand against this draconian government now. As for me, I have only done some submissions regarding proposed laws, etc. Not nearly the battle you had to fight. I admire you. My personal combat seems to be near though. Let's hope I can stay strong. Prayer is the answer, as Miker and others have put it. God bless!
Yes Michael…everyone needs to make a stand now… If they get away with this, that’s it. They will have the green light to impose even worse mandates. Allowing these mandates to succeed will only ensure future mandates. Not taking a stand against these now is taking a stand. You will never get back rights that you’ve voluntarily surrendered. God bless and have mercy…..
