So much arguing on here

What is with all the arguing on the board of late? Has it always been this way? I have only been around reading since April but it seems more so recently. Medjugori is real! No it is not! Russia is consecrated! No it is not! I totally get difference of opinions and healthy debate and discussion. Tone is so important in communication and communicating on the internet is rather hard to decipher tone, but it seems like the tone of these arguements is getting rather ugly or nasty. An awful lot of smoke going on if you ask me and seems to be detracting from what is needed and important right now in these times: pray, pray, pray! fast! pray some more! communion as often as we can! lots and lots of rosaries! lots and lots of chaplets! confession! love your brothers and sisters! love God above all things! Maybe all this is normal and par for the course but recently it just is beginning to take a toll on mood and faith and is distracting from what we, the faithful few, need to be focussing on. We have so much praying for others who are not praying for themselves to do and the people on this board, I feel are the ones that need to be praying the most for the world. I wonder if this is what it was like in the mid 1500's among the "true" faithful right before the schism? I will get off my soap box and don't want to stir the pot more just making an observation.

Lord Jesus have mercy on us for we are all sinners!

I heard three lovely words from a Protestant Minister there on the radio, Andy which really touched me.

    1. 'When a blind man steps on my foot ,should I get angry?':)

    2. 'When I quarrel with others, I become a predator and the world becomes my prey!'

    3. A quote from the letter to Titus.

3 Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good. 2 They must not slander anyone and must avoid quarreling. Instead, they should be gentle and show true humility to everyone.
3 Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other.
4 But—“When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, 5 He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.[a] 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7 Because of his grace he declared us righteous and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” 8 This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.

I mention this not to reproach others but to reproach myself. I notice in myself so often that when I disagree with someone I very quickly fail to seek the truth but seek to justify myself.

Please forgive me from this bad spirit. I am afraid I am still very much a sinner. Falling very much short of the glory of God as St Paul said.:notworthy:
But I ask that people not be scandalised by these my faults but appreciating that. though I am so very a much still a sinner through my own disobedience pray for me that Being convicted of my sins through God's grace, I may come to true repentance through the outpouring of His blood.

This forum is dedicated to Our Lady.

It is quite natural . in this world, that Satan should attack it.

    He has.

    He does.

    He will.

..and in way, in prayer , this too is part of God's plan , for if Jesus died on a Cross , why should not we ?
