    Hi Siobhain,

This is how our Lady taught me to say the rosary:

Garabandal, I feel a weight has been lifted from my shoulders with your wisdom and direction. Thank you again! Padraig - I saw you video on you tube- how slow and pleasent you made it-just the way Jesus and Mary would do it- I always tend to rush things- it's in my make up!. It's nice to see it the way they would do it.... Another thing I would like to say-I never relised how important Garabandal was. And when I looked it up on goolgle earth I was shocked! My Best Friend was married to a spanish guy from Torrelevega.. only down the road from Garabandal. I'm sure I was there (they brought me everywhere, when I went to visit) Must do a little detective work....!

    Padraig,

Nice videos! I left a comment on one of them. You say the Rosary so beautifully and reverently. Do you usually pray by kneeling down etc or, like Garabandal, pray during daily activities?

    Sean,

I think with prayer it moves forward to take over your hold life, just as Jesus moves forward to tale over your whole life. God wants 100% of you, He wants it all. So the space for the rosary changes and so you become the rosary, with every breath. just so , as Garababndal mentions it becomes as much a part of life as breathing.

I especially love praying when I am walking.

There's certainly no accident that you landed here.
I'd say RUN! You know what you are supposed to do...just do it.
What I found when the light finally came on was that it was a fine balancing act. Your family of course needs you dearly so your time is dedicated, and now so is your heart.
Prayer will become your closest friend.
    So glad you are here.

Guy's just had to post- I've had two experiences since we last posted.....
First one: I was in Dublin yesterday doing my christmas shopping and as you all know I fast on a friday.. I was walking out of a shopping centre to go for fast food cause I thought "well my body can't sustain this I have to eat" well the words came to me-penance, penance, penance(not a locution, i'm sure it was my conscience) (sure I did'nt spell either of those words right)! Any way I left town without eating (I'd already said previously that I was going to get for the first time in 8 yrs the Sacrament of Confession this friday.) I made my way to where I used to live - we had a capuchin Friary within 2 mins walk from my house where you would just ring a bell and a brother would come down to accomadate you(no set times day or night). The Blessed Sacrament was exposed and they had changed the times for Confession - tuesday,s thursday,s and saturdays. Well I was gutted to say the least. I had tried to recieve the Blessed Sacrament now on two occasions and it was'nt available to me. Me! A needy and wanting soul!
Today now is saturday and my local parish was doing a Sacrament of Reconcilation which involves just saying you're sorry to a priest (I mean just saying sorry- no particulars - nothing). I got on the website to the next parish and they were still doing confession on the Saturday at 6.30 before mass at 7.00pm. I went in and sat at the back of the church (I had never been in that church before). I was getting very frustrated because If I had'nt received the sacramant of confession then for a third week I would'nt be able to recieve Holy Communion. It was now 6.40pm and I still did'nt know where confession was in this church...Why are you doing this to me God. I'm being told to run to confession and I am. Holy Spirit give me an answer....And He did
    Hunger
I had asked during the week to give me hunger for the Eurcharist.
I suddenly realised the meaning of what I had asked. Tears came to my eye's.. (if you knew me you would say that's impossible!)
God was deliberately holding out on me!
The priest came out then and looked after two people before me....my heart was pounding!
It was an open confession (not in the confession box) It was fine.
My penance was an Our Father.... and I don't mind saying that. When I went to say it the tears were flowing- I could'nt help it.I don't like singing in Mass, maybe cause I can't sing! But I found myself singing the Our Father in my head in praise of Him-could'nt believe it. I've changed........

Well done, Siobhán, you were clearly well able of perceiving the guidance of the Holy Spirit! The hunger for the Eucharist story you told is a lovely experience to have.

I have a great, great love for the Most Blessed Sacrament myself, I regard the consecration at Mass as a true Miracle that happens every day before our eyes, and one that enters our heart and soul, giving us miraculous blessings and graces to live in the Catholic Faith.

We had a very holy priest in the parish a few nights ago to do a penance service with our local PP and in his little sermon he spoke very insightfully about Holy Confession. He said that a good Confession is not necessarily about rolling out a long list of sins, to see if you can remember them all when the shutter opens. Rather, he said, even if the word was a single 'sorry' from you, a sincere sorrow and desire for repentance from all the sins you can remember, is much more effective than being preoccupied with reeling off as many as come to mind for the few minutes. I think too many of us these days treat the Confessional as a memory-challenge, and that if we fail to recall a sin, we have failed.
If the heart asks for forgiveness, God cannot fail to listen.

Hi guys- don't know if you have checked out Fr.Sudac on you-tube giving a sermon on confession- very powerful! I was only wondering the other day why we did'nt have an other "Padre Pio" I first came across him by looking through the other topics on this site. I'd like to see more of him but he seems very low key...why is this?

You're right, that examination of conscience series that he gives on youtube is very powerful to watch. The man radiates pure holiness in his rebuking of common faults and sins.
He has some knowledge of his role in the future and is waiting until God's providence sees fit to take over. But he still is somewhat of a minor celebrity for receiving the Seal.
