Fr. Mitch Pacwa is biritual; in addition to Latin Rite faculties, he is also authorized to celebrate the Eucharist using the Maronite Rite, known as Qurbono or Divine Liturgy.
Saint Charbel was Maronite Catholic. When Pope Leo was in Lebanon he visited his monastery and tomb in Annaya.
I see that comet Atlas has suddenly changed from a green colour to golden! The scientists are astounded. In scripture, gold symbolizes God's glory, divine presence, purity, and prosperity, reflecting both material wealth and spiritual truths. Key Symbolic Meanings of Gold in the Bible Divine Glory and Presence: Gold is often associated with the glory of God. Its radiant and pure nature reflects the divine light and majesty of God. For instance, the Ark of the Covenant was overlaid with pure gold, signifying God's presence among His people (Exodus 25:10-11). 2 Purity and Holiness: Gold represents purity and holiness, serving as a reminder of God's perfect nature. The use of gold in sacred spaces, such as the Tabernacle and the Temple, emphasizes the importance of reverence in worship and the value placed on spiritual practices. 2 Wealth and Prosperity: Throughout the Bible, gold is a symbol of wealth and divine blessing. King Solomon's reign is marked by immense wealth, much of which was in gold, reflecting God's favor upon Israel (1 Kings 10:14-22). The Magi's gift of gold to the infant Jesus also signifies recognition of His kingship and divine nature (Matthew 2:11). 2 Spiritual Significance: Gold is used metaphorically in scripture to illustrate spiritual truths. For example, in 1 Peter 1:7, faith is compared to "gold refined by fire," emphasizing the enduring value of faith that withstands trials. This comparison highlights that spiritual wealth is more valuable than material possessions. 1 Covenant Relationship: Gold signifies the covenant relationship between God and His people. Its use in religious artifacts and royal regalia reflects themes of divine authority and blessing, reminding believers of their commitment to God.
I came across this and have to think its not just occurring there in Cork. I think so many places around world are dealing with bad economic times. I see even in our small town, more needs. Will do our best to help and to pray. https://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland...kitchen-feeding-500-people-a-day-1842396.html
God is using a megaphone to get our attention. Humanity is in such a morass of evil right now and The Etetnal Father is so good. I saw a clip on line of a couple from Massachusetts on their way to church and they are shocked by the stream of traffic heading there. The parking lot was overflowing. They said " this never happens! Massachusetts is NOT religious! Definitely a revival coming."
This is one of those outrageous scenarios where you don't know whether to scream or weep! Maybe both?
One of my brothers from my Deacon class is Maronite. Geralyn and I have attended the Divine Liturgy at his parish in Troy, NY: very reverent and beautiful. Lots of incense and sacred gestures! One could say it was Divine!
This is why I am not afraid of an economic collapse and in many ways welcome it. People of goodwill will band together and help each other out. Those who are incapable of behaving in a manner of goodwill will likely be on the outside. The only reason why things are so poorly is because people are restricted in many ways from doing what is righteous. God is good and doesn't abandon his people, there may be hard times, but not impossible times. I would rather be poor and live with people of goodwill than rich and around a bunch of degenerates.
The same as Garbandal but Ireland is an hour behind in the Winter. In the summer it is the same. I think maybe in April it may be the same?
Dublin currently is 5 hours ahead of me (3:45 pm) which means it is 8:45 pm in Ireland and 9:45 in Garabandal, right?

Every time I see news about what the US is doing to Venezuela (not commenting on whether good or bad) I think of Maria Esperanza’s (from Venezuela) comment “it will start here” and I start wondering
Yes good point. There is some talk about a connection between Venezuela and the Smartmatic voting machines which were used to, I believe, steal the previous elections. So that makes me think that although those in power now might prefer to let sleeping dogs lie, they feel they must root out this injustice even at great cost. I just pray that innocent lives will not continue to be lost.
