Saint Mary's Basilica is utterly gorgeous. The Popes that were buried there in the past have all been declared saints. It has the most lovely story behind its being built. Our Lady of the Snows. I would not be surprised if Our Lady did tell Papa Frankie that he was to die soon as he said. But I also suspect she had a great deal else to say to him.
Cdl Zen said that Cdl Parolin has no faith, he's just a wheeler-dealer. I really must stop posting negatively, but I fear that that catastrophe of a pontificate might be followed by another. I wish for a real man of God to assume the papacy, but with the cardinals stuffed with Francis' picks, it would need a miracle. Now I hear two good cardinals aren't coming to Rome so we will likely be more at the mercy of the likes of Roche, McElroy, Cupich and the rest of them.
I don't see Parolin getting in unless the election is entirely rigged. He is overhyped IMO and needs 66% of the votes which I don't see happening. I would not be surprised if he is already rejected by half the Cardinals due to his scandals. I imagine Cardinals in general would be voting for a candidate with a clean history over one who has repeatedly been involved in scandals. In essence, there are far better options to choose from than Parolin regardless of what side of the spectrum a Cardinal holds to. I suspect this is the case with many other of Francis' appointees.
Well it's God's Church not ours. His Mr.s He knows how to take care of His Bride better than we ever could . I am sure it will not be the first time he's had to pick her up and carry her across the threshold.

The more I reflect on this the more I think Erdo might take it. Flame of Love Rosary seems to have led to Orban, why not a Pope? He is something of a meeting point between both West and East. As well, his name starts with Peter. He has no scandals to speak of and while somewhat Orthodox, his focus on pastoral issues is very good. He is also very experienced.
I never quite understood why so many praise how robust an economy China possesses. This clip explains the fundamental achillies heel of their economy: the lack of its population reinvesting in its own economy. This makes them actually very dangerous and also provides a motivation to take over Taiwan. It's not national identity, but because Taiwan's economic system is stable and growing.
