I have not seen the original German transcript but I understand St. John Paul II's constitution on papal elections was explicitly discussed regarding the election of Pope Francis. Cardinal Mueller acknowledged that the election of Pope Francis is legally problematic. Yet, he stated that any such problems have been cured by the general consensus of the prelates of the Holy Catholic Church. This gave me food for thought. Perhaps, Pope Francis is the Holy Father, after all? Ironically, I am beginning to revisit my view right at the moment when you have changed your view on Pope Francis.
