This morning we went to vote in Indiana. They have new voting machines and everything is a touch screen computer. No more paper ballots. I am very uneasy about this because computers can be hacked and no way to count votes. . . .

It's just terrible. Nantucket is so beautiful and many families vacation there in the summer. I was pretty shocked since this island has a reputation for being more conservative than its neighbor, Martha's Vineyard... so much for that. I just discovered that this 'new law' must receive final approval from Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey. Unless there is major pushback she will probably sign it into law.
I hope there is a good amount of outrage. I can only imagine vacationers who have spent a small fortune for a Nantucket vacation showing up at the beach with young children to discover it is now X rated.

I know what you mean. For such a thoroughly Catholic state it is so so liberal. Uncritical left. I know many wonderful devout Catholics from Massachusetts so there is a strong remnant but it has little effect on social policies it seems. We have "two" Maines--the ultra liberal southern part of the state and the Middle to northern counties who went for Trump and are mostly devout protestants and Catholics. The southern part of the state controls things.
