Well the hurricane is going to be west of us. We will have gusting winds, couple inches of rain. But the poor people west of us have not recovered from Laura yet. I feel for them. We should be ok, did not have to evacuate . . .thanks for the prayers! Keeping my Divine Mercy in the front window.

  4. Skynet Does The Office: Citrix Says By 2035, Workers With Implanted Chips Will Have "Labor Market Advantage"

    Sep 28

54% of business leaders believe that by 2035, workers with implanted chips will have a labor market advantage. Take a step into the future of work at #work2035

Yeah, and if you turn yourself into a full on robot that never has to use the bathroom, eat or smoke a cigarette on a break, that would probably make you more appealing as well.

"By 2035 some workers will have taken technology augmentation a step further, choosing to be enhanced with implanted chips," Citrix's "Work 2035" report read. "Almost half (48%) of professionals would be willing to have a chip implanted in their body if it would significantly improve their performance and remuneration."

The report notes an obvious delta between business "leaders" and employees on their feelings about implants: "Almost eight in 10 business leaders (77%) believe that under-the-skin chips and sensors will increase worker performance and productivity by 2035, compared to just 43% of employees who share this view."

  5. Meteorite Lights up Sky Above Mexico As Hurricane Delta Hits and Earthquakes Strike Country

A fireball was spotted in the night sky above north-eastern Mexico on Tuesday, as Hurricane Delta made landfall in the Yucatán Peninsula and several minor earthquakes struck the country.

The fireball was most visible above the states of Nuevo León, Coahuila and Tamaulipas, which border the U.S., around 10:14 p.m. local time, according to the Global Atmospheric Monitoring Agency—part of Mexico's Institute of Geological and Atmospheric Research.

Some amazed eyewitnesses—as well as some security cameras, webcams and doorbell camss—managed to capture footage of the fireball as it blazed through the atmosphere.

Cameras in Monterrey—the state capital of Nuevo León—captured images of the fireball briefly illuminating the night sky above the city.

Fireballs are unusually bright meteors—the streaks of light that appear in the sky when small pieces of asteroids or comets enter the Earth's atmosphere and burn up. If these objects avoid completely disintegrating and manage to reach the ground they are known as meteorites.

Local reports suggest that the meteorite fell near Ciudad Victoria, the capital of the state of Tamaulipas. Mexican news outlet Milenio reported that the meteorite set fire to bushes in the area where it fell, with local firefighter teams responding to the incident.

The fall of the meteorite came as Hurricane Delta made landfall in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, bringing winds of around 110 miles per hour.

The Category 2 hurricane struck the coast in between the popular tourist resorts of Cancún and Playa del Carmen, accordion to the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC.)

  9. Doomsday Camps Set To “Activate” Due To Risk Of Election Violence

As the country inches closer to the Nov. 03 presidential election, federal agencies, city governments, and local police forces are preparing for political and social instabilities, no matter the election outcome.

Concerns are mounting that mass protests, violent confrontations between extremist groups, and widespread property damage could be seen on election day and days after. If the outcome of the election is undecided, chaos could linger for weeks, if not months.

The prospects of civil unrest around election day have prompted a chain of US survival communities to “activate” – opening their doors for members to hunker down in bomb shelters, with an abundance of weapons and ammo, and years worth of food.

Reuters reports Fortitude Ranch doomsday camps in West Virginia and Colorado will open both facilities to members on election day because of the threat of social unrest.

Fortitude Ranch’s October newsletter suggested “looting and violence” across major US metro areas, similar to what was seen over the summer following the police killing of George Floyd, could follow the elections next month. The newsletter warned social instabilities could transform into long-term issues. – READ MORE

Interesting observation..... We were shopping yesterday and I noticed some interesting things. And when I thought about it, I have noticed it a lot this season. We were looking at the Christmas aisles and noticed a real uptick in the amount of religious Christmas cards and nativity sets. It was noticeable. Even my husband said "there are so many Holy Family decorations this year. Half of the cards were religious with nativity and Holy Family themes. Usually there are a handful but literally half the cards at Walmart, Kohls, Home Store, Home Depot were religious themed. It was really nice to see and made me smile.

Not sure if this is just in my area but it is interesting. Less people seem to be showing up to Mass but many more religious items in the aisle of the stores. I thought it was interesting. :)

The man who beheaded a teacher in a street in France waited outside the school and asked pupils to identify his target, anti-terrorism officials say.

The man then posted images on social media of dead victim Samuel Paty, 47, who had shown controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his students.
  14. The 82nd Airborne: Who Knew?

    Who knew?

Every year, it seems, paratroopers with the 82nd Airborne Infantry Division of the U.S. Army celebrate what they call the “St. Michael’s Day Jump.”

It turns out that paratroopers consider the great archangel their protector, an idea that has been around since inception of the famous airborne community.

Falling from the sky, and spreading their chutes, they like to think of themselves, in some ways, as arriving, warring angels who through their history have won battles and bailed out ground troops on numerous occasions. Their entire mission is to respond to crisis areas anywhere in the world within eighteen hours (the division has 750 planes!).

A book about the division is even entitled The Sword of St. Michael.

    During World War One
, the 82nd was critical in securing victory over Germany — one of the greatest manifestations of evil in recorded history, as James E. Day points out in Saint Michael the Archangel.

It is interesting how open many in the military are to the spiritual side — perhaps because they brush up against their own mortality, as can paramedics and police, who also consider Saint Michael their patron (along with mariners, doctors, and grocers).

One of the unit’s and America’s first major deployments and victories during the First World War came at a military salient in France called Saint-Mihiel. In the Old Testament, the Archangel Michael is the protector of Israel. In Islam, Michael, sometimes spelled Mīkāl or Mīkāʾīl, is the angel of mercy, feeding the infirm while commanding rain and thunder.

Is Michael the angel depicted in the third Fatima secret?

That secret message — really a vision — entailed an angel with a flaming sword, just as Michael is often portrayed in art and statues, although in the case of Fatima ready to set the world ablaze as a minister of God’s Justice.

Recall that Sister Lucia dos Santos’s description of the third secret said, “After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!.'”

As Day points out, “the identity of the angel with the flaming sword is not stated. Cardinal Josef Ratzinger, the future Pope Benedict XVI, postulated in his theological commentary on the secret, ‘The angel with the flaming sword on the left of the Mother of God recalls similar images in the Book of Revelation.”

    Consider that in the vicinity
of Fatima around the fourteenth century a knight named Nuno was headed for Aljubarrota when he spotted a small church dedicated to Mary in what is today the county of Ourem. Getting off his horse, Nuno entered the church and knelt before the altar, invoking Mary before heading into a great battle between Portugal and the Castillian army, which outnumbered his force.

After the prayers, the knight marched to battle and while passing through the village of Fatima felt a heavenly presence.

The horses suddenly lowered themselves as if to kneel and a number of knights claimed to see angels, including the Archangel Michael.

Invoking him, they then went on their mission and claimed victory on August 15, feast of Mary’s Assumption.

It was in this very area
half a millennium later, in 1915, 1916, and 1917, that Lucia dos Santos would see a similar angel identified as the “Angel of Portugal” but thought by many to have been Michael.

(Revelation 12:7-9: “And war broke out in Heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back, but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.”)

That’s in the same chapter as the “woman clothed with the sun” — recalling the sun miracle on October 13, 1917, at Fatima, which was also the thirty-third anniversary of Pope Leo’s XIII revelation that inspired his revision and promotion of the St. Michael Prayer.

Sounds too coincidental to be a “coincidence.”

The daughter of a man shot and killed in Macroom, County Cork, two years ago has said she feels she and her family did not get justice, after the man charged with her father's murder died before his trial could get under way.

Isn't it funny the way people now think. There is an ultimate justice when death comes and the soul is judged before God. That is when true justice is dispensed.

I would say God's justice superceded man's justice in that case. Imagine not realizing the reality of one's particular judgement. What a shock when it happens.
