The next day I realized that I hadn't heard anything about this on Iowa Public Radio, which was odd, because it was right up their alley, i.e., the courts nibbling away at the protections the abortionists enjoy, etc. So I wrote them an email about it. I used all the right leftist statements, wondering why I had to go to an anti-abortion website to confirm it and asking them why they were suppressing the story? Today I got a reply! Highly apologetic, saying they weren't trying to suppress the story, but she couldn't find any mention of the case on the court's website. She was going to turn it over to the health editor to see what she could find out about it. Well, bless me if I didn't spend the next hour trying to track down the original article, because it wasn't in any of my regular news sources. I finally came up with the right search terms for Google. and I replied to the person with a description of the search process and a link to the article above from ACLJ. I also commented that I hadn't read anything about it in the usual press or TV stations, which I thought was odd, considering this was a First Amendment case. I'll let you know what IPR has to say about any of this.

Archives: When SD Interviewed A NY Cop Who Assisted At Exorcism It’s not something we like to write about — the demonic — but it’s something that has to be addressed in these times when it is wreaking havoc. It’s not just in the smoke from the World Trade Center. It’s not just in the eyes of terrorists. These days evil is attacking us all. We are seeing illness. We are seeing dissension. We are seeing freak accidents. A few weeks ago a minister and his family were killed in the Midwest by a tree that fell onto their car as they were driving through a woods in calm weather, and that same week the heavy wrought-iron gate of a church slipped off its track in San Francisco and crushed a priest to death. At the center of the storm, in New York City, there is Ralph Sarchie. He’s a cop — a sergeant — but also an expert on demonology. I just read his book, Beware the Night, and while it’s secular and not for the squeamish, it’s the account of a courageous, dedicated man trying to stop not just the overt manifestations of evil — not just crime — but its root cause. That cause is the devil, and Sarchie– who works in 46th Precinct in the South Bronx, which is so dangerous it’s nicknamed “The Alamo” — has investigated witches, confronted satanists, and assisted at twenty exorcisms, some exhibiting extraordinary phenomena. All of this has taught him a lot about the devil, and he has lessons to give us. One is the danger of the occult, including “innocent” games like the Ouija board (whereby those playing contact the “dead”). The problem: demons often masquerade as the deceased, and Ouija boards can lead to possession. “There ought to be a law against these evil, occult `toys,'” writes Sgt. Sarchie. “I can hear some of you out there saying, ‘Hey, I used a Ouija board and nothing happened.’ Consider yourself lucky, then. It’s like playing Russian roulette. When you put the gun to your head, if you don’t hear a loud noise, you made it. Same thing with the board: The more times you pull the trigger, the more likely that on the next shot, your entire world will go black. I’ve had one case where a young mother played with a Ouija board at a party, with horrifying — and tragic — results.” He has seen the phenomena. He has seen cases so strong that even the pets had to wear medals. He has seen cases of grave robbery. He has seen the results of curses. He has seen the special unleashing of evil at 3 a.m. “Not only do satanic powers often do things in threes, to show contempt for the Holy Trinity, but their terrorist strikes frequently occur at 3:00 a.m.,” says Sarchie, who works the midnight shift. “This is another insult to God, Whose Son Jesus Christ died on the cross at 3:00 p.m. The demonic will do the opposite of anything holy, so they like to attack at exactly the opposite hour — with supernatural phenomena you might call miracles in reverse.” Sarchie, who has been shot chasing down a robber and who deals with brutal homicides on a regular basis, describes spiritual warfare as more treacherous, and the Church is no longer on guard against it. As this cop-turned-exorcist points out, the prayer to St. Michael the Archangel has been eliminated from the end of Mass, and priests (trained in seminaries that have replaced mystical theology with psychology) know little about demonology and in many cases even question the devil’s existence. “The problem today is that many priests, clergy of other faiths, and even bishops of the Catholic Church don’t believe in the Devil, even though Jesus Himself performed exorcisms,” he says. This has occurred at the same time the nation has seen an upsurge in occult. “By some estimates there are over 8,000 satanic covens in the country,” says Sarchie. “In just about every American city, black masses are now available on a weekly basis.” As the cop points out, The Satanic Bible has now sold a million copies, and the cover of Sarchie’s book describes New York itself as “a city under diabolic siege.” It’s hard to tell if it’s because there are more cases or enhanced interest, but he quotes Father James LeBar, one of four exorcists now serving the Archdiocese of New York, as reporting a sudden surge of exorcisms — from “none” in 1990 to “over 300 hundred” in the following decade. Each year, there are from 800 to 1,300 “major” exorcisms around the world — a figure that, we might add, would exponentially increase if priests were trained and allowed to perform deliverance with the frequency of the early disciples. Whether one believes in black magic or not makes no difference to those who want to use it against us. “In fact,” warns Sarchie, “the less you believe, the more likely that you won’t know how to protect yourself if you’re attacked this way. This situation is all the more to the liking of the legions of sorcerers, black magicians, witches, warlocks, Satanists, and other practitioners of the occult.” Sarchie notes that demons often hide “in the shadow of the church.” He has investigated Mayombe “priests.” He has seen Santeria. At one point while exorcising an apartment building in Queens, the cop came nose to nose with the leader of a satanic coven — “standing there, right in front of me [in a hallway], and reading aloud from [a book of spells] to counter my prayers. It didn’t work. He suddenly broke off his reading and actually ran from me.” There is no fear with Jesus, Who is vastly more potent than any evil. Use relics and the St. Benedict medal. Fast. Go to Confession. Pray always. Pray the Rosary. And don’t become obsessed. “Whenever you discuss a particular case, you give recognition to the demonic spirit connected with the case,” he says. “At times, that can cause the satanic force to be drawn to you. To obsess over occult horrors is unhealthy and dangerous to the soul; lifting up your eyes to the wonder and majesty of God’s creations is the cure. The project is inspired by the true story of Irish priest Malachi Martin, who was brought in by the U.S. government to perform a sanctioned exorcism on a young soldier at Fort Bragg, N.C., the largest military installation in the world. Perkins has been on the rise since his feature film debut The Blackcoat's Daughter, followed by I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. His next feature Gretel & Hansel is due out in the new year and the first trailer created a tonne of buzz. FlynnPictureCo’s Beau Flynn will produce. Amazon's dystopian plan to be anywhere and everywhere When most tech companies host a launch event, it is to unveil one or two major products. Not Amazon. For the past couple of years at its launch events, the company has bombarded tech watchers with a torrent of new products. And so it wasn't all that surprising when it announced a full 15 new products at a hardware event in Seattle last week. That's more products than most big tech companies launch all year. But if the glut of stuff was expected, what was perhaps less predictable was the variety of what was on show: smart night lights, a smart oven, and most surprisingly of all, smart wearable devices like eyeglasses and a ring. The sheer number of hardware products has in the past made Amazon seem a bit like it was throwing absolutely anything at the wall to see what sticks. And to be sure, there was definitely that feeling this time around. But with an increasing push to get its Alexa voice platform absolutely everywhere, Amazon's plans finally seem to be coming into focus: The company believes voice will supplant the smartphone as the next big platform. If that sounds a bit far fetched, it's because up until now, the actual business case for voice products like Alexa, Google's Assistant, or Apple's Siri have been a bit vague. Yes, they are extremely helpful, but what was never quite clear was how they were supposed to make money. In the case of Google, it seemed like Assistant was mostly a branding exercise meant to associate the search company with having the answers you wanted. In Apple's case, as with everything Apple does, Siri was simply another play to make the company's walled garden more appealing. But Amazon's interest was always a bit baffling: Shopping by voice never really caught on and despite selling reasonably well (the company doesn't release specific sales numbers), its Echo devices are priced so low that they're hardly a profit-generating machine. But with this week's announcement, things seem clearer, especially considering Amazon's move into augmented reality. Amazon's Echo Frames are smart glasses that essentially direct audio through their arms so that a user can hear things like notifications, directions, and so on. There is no visual component here. The same can be said for the Echo Loop, a ring that contains microphones to wake Alexa, and also provides haptic feedback for notifications. These products are what the company is calling Day One Editions, which is a fancy way of saying they're experiments more than full-fledged new categories. But the idea here is that Amazon's voice assistant is not only with you everywhere, it is also on everything: your smartphone, your appliances at home, your car, and of course, in your ears: Amazon's new Echo Buds are their answer to Apple's ubiquitous AirPods, and can also raise Alexa. With Alexa everywhere, Amazon's voice platform becomes the layer between hardware and the internet. Appliance and car makers can integrate Alexa to give them voice-controlled capability far better than they would be able to come with on their own. Alexa in glasses or headphones allows the service to deliver updates and notifications about things you've bought from Amazon, your Amazon-controlled home security, or even track things as part of Amazon's new Sidewalk wireless standard. If this all sounds a bit dystopian or worrying, that's because it probably is. Amazon's plan to become the voice layer would give it even more power. It also paves the way for Alexa to become a revenue machine. In much the same way Apple makes its billions simply because you need a smartphone to do all the things a smartphone can do, Alexa becomes the analog for voice. Whether or not this actually plays out all depends on a number of factors, like how consumers react to these so-called Day One experiments, and also how Google, Apple, and others respond. But for now, Amazon's vision of the future — in which our bodies, homes, and selves are intertwined with a series of connected, smart, voice-controlled devices — is certainly the most comprehensive vision we've seen so far. However, the true motion of the Sun in the galaxy is not a circular motion, but exactly like the motion of an electron in an atom. And all indications seem to suggest that the solar system is approaching the highest position in the galaxy, the closest possible position to the galactic core. It is the most energetic region that the Sun can be surrounded with. This dense region is altering the magnetic field of the Sun and the magnetic fields of all the planets of the solar system (more). Valid and clear observations are showing that the Earth is not the only planet in the solar system undergoing climate change. Growth of the dark spots in Pluto, reports of auroras on Saturn, polar shifts in Uranus and changes in light intensity of Neptune suggests the changes are happening in the entire solar system. Another concrete evidence of the solar change comes from Pluto. Pluto resides in the icy outskirts of the solar system near a giant shell of astronomical bodies known as the Oort Cloud. Although Pluto resides in the coolest region of the solar system, it is heating up. Specifically, Pluto’s atmospheric pressure has increased by 300 percent, which is more than any other planet in the solar system. Even more paradoxical to mainstream scientists, Pluto’s atmosphere is becoming denser as it travels farther away from the Sun. This shows of course, that Pluto is at the forefront of a high energy region of the galaxy that the solar system is beginning to reside in. Thus, without a doubt, the changes are taking place throughout the whole solar system. This fact is supported by additional data. For instance, the increase in the strength of the Sun’s magnetic field is one of the most obvious evidence for the dramatic shift that is taking place within our solar system. According to, a study by Mike Lockwood at Rutherford Appleton National Laboratories, in California, the Sun’s magnetic field has increased by 230 percent within the 20th century alone. The energetic changes in the Sun radiate outward through solar wind, thereby increasing the charge of interstellar space. However, what is puzzling scientists is the amount of stardust that continues to flood the solar system even during solar minimum. And, institutional scientists are lost between solar reality based on observational data and loyalty to the standard solar model. Nonetheless, one thing is absolutely certain... the physical reality of the Sun is not understood by astrophysicists and astronomers. Due to this misunderstanding, climate science is currently ruled by politicians and figures with very low intellectual capability. The misunderstanding of the Sun had and continues to have devastating consequences on our scientific and economic development. I have been arguing aggressively for many years, that the Sun is misunderstood. I have presented huge material evidence against the current dogma, based on, theoretical notions and particularly on, observational data, which were collected by modern space instruments. Those data refute the most fundamental hypotheses of the standard solar model (The standard solar dogma). Furthermore, I have clearly shown in my arguments that the current model contradicts all the laws of thermodynamics. This comes on the heels of African swine fever (ASF) raging through China and devastating the hog population in the world’s largest pork-producing country. “This was highly orchestrated,” said Stephen Maloney, the Customs and Border Patrol’s acting port director for the Port of New York/Newark. He said this was a concerted effort to conceal product. More than 100 CBP agricultural specialists and K-9 teams worked to uncover the prohibited food. The pork was smuggled in various different ways from ramen noodle bowls to Tide detergent containers, said deputy chief agricultural specialist Basil Liakakos. In some cases, the packaging in the shipment matched the products on the manifest, authorities said, but the contents inside were prohibited pork. In other cases, the pork was simply packaged among the other products. CBP teams are working hard to keep ASF, a highly transmissible, deadly virus of pigs, out of the U.S. ASF does not affect humans, but is rapidly spread to domestic pigs and wild boars. The ASF virus survives 150-180 days in fresh meat. In frozen meat, reports say the virus can live indefinitely. Officials announced this seizure of more than 50 shipping containers during a press conference Friday morning at a warehouse in Elizabeth, N.J.
