Every time I cut my lawn, I'm a mass-murderer now, apparently (in fact, I hire a ruthless hit-man, known as a gardener, to do it for me). As Fatima explained, it's pantheism gone haywire. We are witnessing the return of paganism. It is Judeo-Christianity which desacralised the world in response to our transcendent God, whereas the pagans saw in every aspect of nature a god that had to be worshipped. We might be witnessing what I have seen described as a 'holiness spiral', whereby a hysterical mob blindly competes among one another to be the 'holiest' in the context of the morality they follow. It has little to do with true holiness, of course, and is really a form of pride, but it certainly can lead to utter chaos. In saying that, I don't believe there aren't some who know exactly what they are doing and they are showing themselves as highly skilled at manipulating the useful idiots. It would be ironic, and not inappropriate, that the coming Chastisement might turn out to be almost wholly self-inflicted. Like the true Stalinists that they are, they have managed to get their clutches on the children in order, in many cases, to turn them against their parents and it doesn't seem likely there is any way to stop their insane plans. All most of us can do is hope and pray.
Here is a video I have watched for years and it always makes me laugh. Not to mock, but when I first saw it, it seemed humorous because this is a fringe left eco group and it is sad but made me laugh. Putting nature above God, very dangerous I think. I believe it is also a tactic of Satan. Humans must feel the discrepancy between what is good and all the sin activity (since such understanding is written on the heart) of the world today....everywhere.....but without a reference to God the Creator as the One Who asks for repentance, feeling some kind of uneasiness about their own personal actions/involvement in this frightening picture, they still have to get rid of anything personal that gnaws at them and so they believe that such lesser "confessions" to what they see will somehow wipe out their own responsibility/sin. That to them, via Satan, looks like an easier track to take and they can then anoint themselves as free of guilt and project it out onto others while Satan laughs.

Hollywood promotes this as virtuous, and moral. My son is in the film industry, and recently finished grad school where he was immersed in this climate crisis tree hugging culture. I can see the change in him, and sorry to say it is not good. It's all about humans versus the environment. He's always been a good kid, never a days trouble, but he has been basically brainwashed into believing this earth worship nonsense. He, along with everyone in his circle, bought it hook, line and sinker, and they are all super defensive when confronted. I have been praying that eventually he'll come to his senses, but it's very, very troubling.
