  1. Netanyahu Suggests Ex-Obama Adviser Behind Politico’s ‘Israel Spying in D.C.’ Claim

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu implied that a former strategist for Barack Obama currently working for the Blue and White party in Israel was behind a Politico report claiming the U.S. government concluded that Israel was “most likely” behind the placement of cellphone snooping devices purportedly found in the vicinity of the White House.

Politico’s anonymously sourced article, which claims Israeli intelligence under Netanyahu’s administration spied on the Trump administration, was released just days before a critical election in Israel.

The wild claim does not cite any U.S. government agency but instead relies upon “three former senior U.S. officials with knowledge of the matter” who purport to know that the “U.S. government concluded within the past two years that Israel was most likely behind the placement of cellphone surveillance devices that were found near the White House and other sensitive locations around Washington.”

The Israeli government has strongly denied the allegations. A senior U.S. official was quoted as saying the Politico story “is completely false. Absolutely false. I checked.” President Trump himself said of the story: “I find that hard to believe.” Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Trump further said, “I don’t believe that. No, I don’t believe that the Israelis are spying on us.”

On Friday, Netanyahu released a campaign ad promoting a Fox News segment from last week in which radio star and weekend cable host Mark Levin said Joel Benenson was behind the Politico piece. Benenson was a strategist for Obama’s 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns and served as chief strategist for Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 campaign. He is currently advising Netanyahu’s main opponent, Benny Gantz, and Gantz’s Blue and White party.

“Yesterday you heard the lies that Israel tried to spy on the White House, a complete lie,” Netanyahu began in the Hebrew-language campaign video.

Netanyahu cited Levin as saying “this is exactly like the tricks carried out by Joel Benenson. He was an adviser to Obama and now he is the adviser to [Blue and White leaders Benny] Gantz and [Yair] Lapid.”

“For them everything is kosher,” added Netanyahu. “They are willing to do anything and don’t care if they damage this valuable asset, our relationship with the United States and my relationship with the president.”

“Everything is kosher to garner an extra few votes and bring in a left-wing government. Don’t believe these lies,” Netanyahu stated.

Blue and White co-founder Yair Lapid strongly rejected the charge about Benenson and claimed that Netanyahu had “gone off the rails.”

“Yesterday we supported Bibi over the eavesdropping allegation, today he said we instigated it. Never mind being a liar, what about some national responsibility? The man has gone off the rails,” tweeted Lapid.

Breitbart’s Aaron Klein took a closer look at the Politico story, writing that the alleged plot “reveals glaring red flags.”

The Politico story by Daniel Lippman charges:

The miniature surveillance devices, colloquially known as “StingRays,” mimic regular cell towers to fool cellphones into giving them their locations and identity information. Formally called international mobile subscriber identity-catchers or IMSI-catchers, they also can capture the contents of calls and data use.

The devices were likely intended to spy on President Donald Trump, one of the former officials said, as well as his top aides and closest associates — though it’s not clear whether the Israeli efforts were successful.

Klein noted that a reader needs to scroll down a full 28 paragraphs to arrive at the detail that such IMSI-catchers can also be made by “sophisticated hobbyists” or those willing to pay more than $150,000 for each device.

    Lippman allows:

IMSI-catchers, which are often used by local police agencies to surveil criminals, can also be made by sophisticated hobbyists or by the Harris Corp., the manufacturer of StingRays, which cost more than $150,000 each, according to Vice News.

Writes Klein: “So we are to believe that technology behemoth Israel, with some of the most capable and proven minds in high-tech, risked blowing up its relationship with its closest and most important ally by recklessly planting physical spying devices near the White House that “can also be made by sophisticated hobbyists.” A simple Google search under ‘IMSI catcher’ turns up less sophisticated devices for as low as $249.95 and countless websites describing how to make IMSIs.”

“The improbable plot gets even more absurd,” continued Klein.

The Breitbart Jerusalem bureau chief pointed to a story from September 2014 in which CNBC first exclusively reported about a technology company that discovered “as many as 15 cellphone interception devices secretly operating in the nation’s capital, capable of illicitly identifying the movements of prominent people, recording audio from mobile phones, listening to calls and reading email.”

CNBC reported on the IMSI-catchers and even spent an afternoon driving around Washington with experts “whose devices registered several malicious attempts to probe the phones.”

The news agency related that they contacted the FBI and Department of Justice to seek comment on the discovery of the devices.

The CNBC reporter who authored the story, Eamon Javers, tweeted on Thursday that Politico’s Lippman “provides a likely answer to a mystery I first reported on back in 2014 – Who’s hacking DC’s cell phones?”

Lippman himself retweeted Javers’ tweet linking his 2014 article on IMSI-catchers in D.C. to Politico’s story citing former officials as claiming that Israel was operating such devices in America’s capital to spy on Trump.

    Klein posited:

So we are to believe that Israel risked spying on the Trump administration using devices that were not only planted in the open but similar to or even the same as the IMSI-catchers in D.C. first reported in the news media five years ago.

And, according to this outlandish narrative, Israel continued to deploy such easily discoverable devices for years even after CNBC revealed those attempts and publicly reported that it alerted the FBI about the IMSI-catchers. We are to further believe that Israel has been spying in D.C. using devices so unsophisticated that civilian experts cited by CNBC in 2014 discovered similar snooping attempts with just one afternoon drive around the Capital. Color me skeptical.

Grotesque doesn't even begin to describe it. The name of that place is Christ Hospital!!!!

But we don't want to talk about abortion all the time :censored:.

Rather than being subjected to verbal attacks and innuendo, the American conservatives in the front line fighting against such evil deserve our praise, support and gratitude because if they give up the fight there will be "Christ Hospitals" all across the globe, supported by US politicians and population controllers who get the red carpet treatment in the Vatican.

It's mind boggling that people actually believe that switching to renewable energy sources will assuage the wrath of God for what's being done to the most innocent and most defenceless of all His children.

  4. I think Bernie, and others of his ilk, wants full state birth control power over women so he could gather more $$$ for his coffers via fines, etc. and use, once again as a basis a "deep concern" about population control in order to save the planet....and of course hoard the goodies for his select few of political grifters. I just read something about him getting kicked out of some hippie commune type place due to being a "shirker"! But usually the cowards will first pick on the poorest countries by copying "humanitarian" politics....such as the Gates' do.....offering aid such as building wells, etc., only if there is the enactment of birth control in its various fashions. The reaping of the results of the masses not capable of seeing the future as warned by Paul VI.... being women would finally not be able to have children.....through force.

Erdogan says it's unacceptable that Turkey can't have nuclear weapons
    TAGS: Turkey
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday it was unacceptable for nuclear-armed states to forbid Ankara from obtaining its own nuclear weapons, but did not say whether Turkey had plans to obtain them.
“Some countries have missiles with nuclear warheads, not one or two. But (they tell us) we can’t have them. This, I cannot accept,” he told his ruling AK Party members in the eastern city of Sivas.
“There is no developed nation in the world that doesn’t have them,” Erdogan said. In fact, many developed countries do not have nuclear weapons.
Turkey signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in 1980, and has also signed the 1996 Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, which bans all nuclear detonations for any purpose.

Erdogan hinted that he wanted the same protection for Turkey as Israel.
“We have Israel nearby, as almost neighbors. They scare (other nations) by possessing these. No one can touch them.”

Turkey, Iran, Russia agree on forming constitutional committee in Syria

The Turkish, Iranian and Russian presidents on Sept. 16 reached agreement on the details of the to-be formed constitutional committee in Syria, during the fifth round of the trilateral Syria summit in the Turkish capital, aiming to secure peace in the war-torn country.

“During the summit, we made important decisions that will create hope for a political resolution in Syria. We have once more declared that all of us have the same sensitivity when it comes to the territorial integrity and political unity of Syria. We have underlined the unacceptance of giving support to terrorist organizations on the grounds of the fight against Daesh,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, using the Arabic acronym for ISIL, at the Çankaya Palace of Ankara.

The president’s remarks came during a press conference with his Iranian and Russian counterparts, which was followed by the tripartite meetings.

“We have displayed a constructive and flexible approach regarding the procedural rules and members of the constitutional committee. We have shown effort to advance the political process. Henceforth, problems about the establishment of the committee have been eliminated with our joint efforts,” Erdoğan said.

The formation of the constitutional committee is to be kicked off as soon as possible, in accordance with the United Nations, after the meetings, Erdoğan underlined.

Iran’s Hassan Rouhani echoed Erdoğan’s remarks on the constitutional committee, saying they hope work will start immediately.

“We hope that it will overhaul the constitution,” he said.

For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the list for the committee has been approved, and the work should begin right away.

“As a result of this convention, the decision to form the constitutional committee has been made. The said committee should start work in Geneva as soon as possible,” Putin said.

Syria’s territorial integrity should be protected, the leaders say

All leaders also stressed protecting Syria’s territorial integrity and the fight against terrorist organizations in this sense, putting emphasis on the “concerning” situation in Idlib.

“This matter carries much importance both in Syria’s political unity and territorial integrity and the national security of Turkey,” Erdoğan said.

The threat of ISIL has been eliminated in the current situation yet the illegal PKK and its branch in Syria, YPG/PYG, poses a threat for the future of Syria, the president stressed.

Turkey has been conducting many operations, striking big blows to terrorist organizations with Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Olive Branch, Erdoğan underlined.

Some 360,000 Syrians have returned to places in Syria, which Turkey had made secure thanks to its operations, he said.

Regardless, Turkey has been standing by displaced Syrians, even in the former’s troublesome times, he added.

“We have been hosting over 3.6 million Syrians in our lands, who have run away from oppression, terror and massacre,” he said.

“With the joint steps we took in Idlib, we have prevented a huge tragedy which could have played havoc with the lives of 4 million civilians,” Erdoğan added.

“We are all against foreign intervention in Syria,” said Iran’s Hassan Rouhani.

“The U.S., on the other hand, supported terrorists in Syria and tried to separate it. This is unacceptable,” Rouhani added.

Syria should be secure so that the country’s people can safely return to their homeland, he added.

“We should give support to the Syrian people, who have been going through very hard things,” the Iranian president said.

In the meantime, Russia’s Putin said the situation in the de-escalation zone of Idlib is “concerning.”

“Recently, the activities of extreme groups have been taking place [in the de-escalation zone]. This should not be a haven for terrorists. We need to take additional steps to fully eliminate the terrorist threat in here,” Putin said.

Turkey and Russia agreed in September 2018 to turn Idlib into a de-escalation zone where any act of aggression is prohibited. In the zone, both countries set up observation posts to monitor a ceasefire and withdrawal of terrorist organizations. Turkey has 12 posts with a sizeable deployment in the region.

The Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria and its allies have been accused of consistently breaking the terms of the ceasefire as attacks inside the de-escalation zone have been launched frequently.

The de-escalation zone is currently inhabited by some 4 million civilians, including hundreds of thousands of people displaced in recent years by regime forces from cities and towns throughout the war-torn country.

The leaders also condemned the U.S. decision to recognize Syria’s occupied Golan Heights as Israeli territory, which in addition to violating international law, also threatens regional peace and security, according to a joint statement.

Russia has developed hypersonic missiles while surrounded by NATO and if it comes down to it Russia very well may have first strike capabilities that are unmatched. This was why Putin made that remark at the G-20 to Trump about selling us some. Also a few years back he warned the world that Russia would have no choice but to develop these offensive weapons.

Hypersonic cruise missiles could be launched in Russia and hit the US inside 5 mins. There isn't a defensive weapon developed that is remotely effective against them.

Russian Navy to be first to field hypersonic cruise missiles on submarines
September 2019 News Navy Naval Maritime Defense Industry
    Posted On Tuesday, 17 September 2019 12:02
It was not until the conflict in Syria that Russia began using submarine-launched cruise missiles in a similar way to the US Navy’s Tomahawk missile; as a long-range surgical strike weapon.

The Russian Navy is expected to be the first country to field Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles on its submarines, potentially giving it some strategic advantages in naval warfare. The greater speed will better enable Russia to strike time-critical targets and will increase the missile’s survival rate against modern air defences.

Zircon can reportedly fly at Mach 8 with some estimates being even higher. For comparison, the Tomahawk cruise missiles carried by US Navy and Royal Navy submarines fly at around Mach 0.75. the new weapon is a natural development of Russia’s experience with cruise missile submarines. For much of the Cold War, the missiles carried by Russian submarines were focused on hitting ships at sea, particularly the US Navy’s formidable aircraft carriers. It was not until the conflict in Syria that Russia began using submarine-launched cruise missiles in a similar way to the US Navy’s Tomahawk missile; as a long-range surgical strike weapon.

The plan, originally reported in Russian sources in March, is for the first test launch from a submarine to take place next year. This will involve firing a Zircon type missile from the latest nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine K-561 Kazan which is already armed with subsonic and supersonic missiles. The timing may have been prophetic given Russian President Vladimir Putin’s quip to sell hypersonic missiles to President Trump during the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan at the end of June. The US has been researching similar technologies but does not have an equivalent weapon in its inventory.

"Kazan" (K-561) is the first modernized multipurpose submarine of the Yasen-M class after "Severodvinsk" was handed over to the Northern Fleet in 2013. There are considerable changes in the auxiliary systems on "Kazan" compared with "Severodvinsk." While construction on "Severodvinsk" started just after the breakup of the U.S.S.R. in 1993, "Kazan" was laid down 16 years later, in 2009.

Russia Testing Nuclear-Powered Mega-Torpedo Near Where Deadly Explosion Occurred

    H I Sutton
    Contributor
    Aerospace & Defense
I cover the changing world of underwater warfare.

Details are still emerging of the explosion of a nuclear-powered engine that killed at least seven people in northern Russia last week. Conflicting reports, rumors and speculation center around whether the engine was for a nuclear-powered cruise missile, codenamed Skyfall by NATO, or some other weapon-related reactor. One of the possible weapons in the frame is the Poseidon mega-torpedo. This new weapon is described as an Intercontinental Nuclear-Powered Nuclear-Armed Autonomous Torpedo by the U.S. government.

The unique drone-like weapon is in an entirely new category. Launched from a large submarine, potentially from under the protection of the arctic ice cap, it would have virtually unlimited range and Russia claims that it will run so deep that it cannot realistically be countered with existing weapons. It's designed to be armed with a nuclear warhead, reportedly of 2 megatons, which represents a slow but unstoppable death-knell for the residents of coastal cities such as New York or San Francisco in the event of a nuclear war. The Russian Ministry of Defense also claims that it will be usable against high value maritime targets such as the U.S. Navy's carrier battle groups.

It is massive, around 30 times larger than the heavyweight torpedoes commonly used aboard submarines, and twice as large as submarine launched ballistic missiles (SLBMs). Specially constructed submarines will be able to carry six Poseidon each. Unlike existing missile submarines, which are termed SSBNs, this type of submarine doesn't even have a designation yet. Possibly SSDN will be used to denote a nuclear powered drone-carrying submarine.

    Today In: Industry

Poseidon is being tested in the region, my analysis of information gathered from public sources shows. For trials it is being launched by a special submarine based in Severodvinsk, near the Nyonoksa testing site where the explosion occurred. The submarine is named Sarov after the city where the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics, which developed the nuclear engine involved in the explosion, is based. Sarov is also the city where the victims of the blast were laid to rest. In recent years the Russian Ministry of Defense has been open about Sarov's role in the tests. The submarine rarely puts to sea but my analysis of information gathered from public sources shows that it did venture out into the White Sea in June, pointing to possible recent test launches.

Poseidon was first revealed to the public in dramatic fashion by Russian state media in the fall of 2015, when a slide on the new weapon was visible during a meeting with President Putin. The apparent security lapse was probably not by accident.

The project itself has since been traced back much further to the end of the Cold War, and defense watchers had an inkling of a giant torpedo-like weapon under development for about five years prior to the staged leak.

The weapon has been in testing since around 2014 and is likely to be nearing the production phase with deployments at sea from the early 2020s. The first submarine slated to carry the weapon operationally was launched in April in Severodvinsk. The gigantic Belgorod submarine is still undergoing fitting out and will not be operational for a few years. The second submarine, Khabarovsk, is also nearing completion and two more SSDNs are expected to follow, providing Russia with a new dimension in nuclear deterrence.

Nuclear weapons are gradually, and I think inevitably, proliferating in this region. One dominated by a religion that conspicuously lacks the Golden Rule and that considers dying for their faith in the act of aggressively murdering the infidel as a 'martyrdom' which will gain them immediate entry into their conception of paradise. In such circumstances, the concept of Mutually Assured Destruction is likely to have only a weak deterrent effect. It is not irrelevant that Armageddon is just down the road.

5G Technology.....How You Could Lose Control

If you think technology brings greater freedom, perhaps you should further contemplate the breakneck rush toward artificial intelligence.

Are you now more or less tethered to electronics than, say, ten years ago? How many times a day do you speak to a synthesized voice? What in your life is dependent upon the microchip?

When we are tethered — attached, wified, wired — we’re in bondage; on a leash — one that now pervades the terrain and atmosphere.

This is especially important due to the onset of “5G“: Today, the networks that drive our smartphones and internet-connected devices are mostly based on 4G technology. But higher-performance fifth-generation technology is on the near horizon and it promises (or threatens) to take us places we’ve never been before.

[IMG]As one report summarized it, “5G is considered key to the Internet of Things (IoT), the name given to the notion of tying just about every and any thing into the Net. Billions of sensors will be built into appliances, security systems, health monitors, door locks, cars and wearables — from smartwatches to dog collars. One analyst firm predicts that the number of networked devices will skyrocket from about five billion in 2015 to twenty-five billion in 2020.” Refrigerators, furnaces, lights.

In other words, just about everything around you will be based on those wifi, bluetoothish, and cell signals, if it isn’t already. That presents not only the danger of a mega-crash (say, a massive regional blackout, or even a national outage due to something like a solar flare or a drone-carried bomb that explodes above our grid, which would cripple everything we do, from drawing water from a tap to using debit cards), but also is the most likely scenario for tyranny.

That is, the tyranny of Artificial Intelligence. It’s why we have a “special report” this month about it.

Let us add a comment to the report:

If computers ever take over from humans, it is more likely to be through artificial intelligence functioning in the vast interwoven computer networks than robots marching up the street — though the latter, as spelled out in that report, are also fully possible (in many ways more daunting: up close and personal). But: can you think of a better place for an anti-christ than in a tacit tech takeover — an invisible electronic presence that spreads like a “virus” controlling everything from personal computers and servers to cell towers to your stove?

[IMG]A.I. expert Geordie Rose says that tech developers are summoning “entities” into existence which will have the same indifference to humans as we have towards ants. “They not gonna be like us, they’re gonna be aliens…they’re gonna be way smarter than every single person in this room in ways that we can’t even comprehend,” said Rose. As an alt-right blogger wrote, “He then mentioned Elon Musk’s concerns about artificial intelligence taking over humanity, but cautioned that the word ‘demons’ doesn’t even capture the true scope of what will happen.”

[IMG]For our discernment. Prayer need. It is a very fast and dangerous time. Challenges are rising on every side. The One Who can guide and protect us is the Holy Spirit. When we pray, no robotic (or demonic) intelligence will ever approach how pervasive He is; no cell tower will rise remotely as tall.

Last night I was reading “The Story of the Church” out loud to some of our children (it’s part of Mother of Divine Grace’s history program). I found this portion on the persecution of Christians under various Roman Emperors, to be especially interesting: The Romans “claimed to be broad-minded and tolerant of all religions...”

Isn’t that exactly where liberals are now? And the persecution of the Christians in Rome spanned 300 hundred years. I always feel like we are right on the brink of the end of terrible times that will usher in the Era of Peace. But could we still be hundreds of years out??? Reading about the long suffering (and courage!!! Help me, God! I would never be adequate to face such tremendous suffering!) of the martyrs, I wonder if what we judge as close to the end could still be far out....thoughts?? I’m really ready for the Era of Peace ❤️

  17. Health fears prompt Swiss 5G revolt

Switzerland was among the first countries to begin deploying 5G, but health fears over radiation from the antennas that carry the next-generation mobile technology have sparked a nationwide revolt.

Demonstrators against the technology are due to fill the streets of Bern later this month, but already a number of cantons have been pressured to put planned constructions of 5G-compatible antennae on ice.

The technology has been swept up in the deepening trade war between China and the United States, which has tried to rein in Chinese giant Huawei -- the world's leader in superfast 5G equipment -- over fears it will allow Beijing to spy on communications from countries that use its products and services.

But far from the clash of the titans, a growing number of Swiss are voicing alarm at possible health effects from exposure to the electromagnetic rays radiating from the new antennae, and are threatening to put the issue to a referendum in the country famous for its direct democratic system.

It wasn't supposed to be this way.

In February, Switzerland took a big step towards deployment when it attributed 5G frequencies to three major operators, Swisscom, Sunrise and Salt, allowing the country to rake in revenues of nearly 380 million Swiss francs ($384 million, 350 million euros).

High on their success, the operators raced to trumpet on television advertisements and billboards that the cutting-edge technology would be available this year in cities, in the countryside and even in mountainous regions.

By early July, 334 antennae stations for 5G were operational across the country, authorities told AFP.

    - Referendum? -
But the rollout has run into some serious hurdles.

Several cantons including Geneva have buckled to pressure from online petitioners demanding a halt to construction of the 5G infrastructure.

But while no new antennae are being built in parts of the country, the operators are still converting existing 4G antennae for 5G use -- something they can do without authorisation.

National carrier Swisscom thus says it expects 90 percent of the population to have 5G access by the end of the year.

Opponents meanwhile warn that 5G poses unprecedented health and environmental risks compared to previous generations of mobile technology, and are urging authorities to place a full-fledged moratorium on the rollout.

They will organise a large protest on September 21 in front of the government buildings in Bern, and are also working towards putting the issue to a popular vote.

"I think we have most citizens on our side," Coco Tache-Berther, of the organisation Fequencia, told AFP, saying Switzerland's rapid roll-out of 5G was "ultra-shocking".

Olivier Pahud, who regularly demonstrates against 5G in front of the UN in Geneva, agreed, insisting the technology will have "impacts on health, on the environment, on people's capacity to think."

And for people like him, who suffer from "electromagnetic hypersensitivity", the new technology will be devastating, he said.

The condition is not recognised as a medical disorder in most countries, but sufferers insist that exposure to mobile phones, wifi routers, televisions and other gadgets cause them anything from mild discomfort to life-ruining disability.

The powerful Swiss Federation of Doctors is also urging caution, maintaining that "as long as there is no scientific proof that raising the radiation limits will not impact health, one must refrain from raising them."

    - Noxious effect? -
In Geneva, it is Daniel Buchs, a doctor and a regional parliamentarian with the centrist Christian Democratic Party, who is leading the battle.

"We are waiting for a serious, independent study that shows whether, yes or no, 5G has a noxious effect for the population," he told AFP.

Such a study, he insisted, could help avoid a health scandal similar to the one the world has seen with asbestos, which was long touted as safe but which today is known to kill at least 107,000 people around the world each year.

There are already several studies underway, including one by the World Health Organization, which told AFP it had begun "conducting a risk assessment of health outcomes from radiofrequency fields exposure."

A group of experts was also appointed by the Swiss government last year to probe the risks involved with introducing 5G, and their findings should be published by the end of the year.

That study had originally been scheduled for publication during the first half of the year.

The delay, which the government said was linked to "the size of the task", has sparked outrage among 5G opponents, who suspect pressure from operators might have played a role.

"You really have to ask yourself what is behind this," Tache-Berther said.

U.S. official says drone and missile attack on Saudi Arabia was launched from Iran

Last Updated Sep 17, 2019 11:50 AM EDT

The United States has identified the exact locations in Iran from which a combination of more than 20 drones and cruise missiles were launched against Saudi oil facilities over the weekend, a senior U.S. official told CBS News national security correspondent David Martin on Tuesday. The official said the locations are in southern Iran, at the northern end of the Persian Gulf.

Saudi Arabia's air defenses have been aimed south for months, to protect against missile attacks launched by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, so they were useless against the missiles and drones coming in from the north, the official told Martin.

One of the missiles flew through Kuwait's airspace and the U.S. is working with a number of other countries to analyze data on the attack, which could help make the case against Iran.

A U.S. team has been on the ground at the oil facilities and identified the specific types of drones and cruise missiles fired, Martin reported. The wreckage was moved to a facility outside the Saudi capital of Riyadh, where it will be used to make what one U.S. official called, "a very compelling forensic case" that Iran launched "a complex and coordinated attack" on Saudi Arabia.

In addition to the wreckage, the forensic case will include radar tracks reconstructed after the fact that show the cruise missiles and drones coming out of Iran.

U.S. officials have already blamed Iran for the attack, but President Trump has appeared this week to lower expectations of a U.S. military response. On Monday night, one day after tweeting that the U.S. was "locked and loaded" in response to the attack on Saudi Arabia, the president told supporters in New Mexico not to panic about oil supplies.

"Today, we got a lot of oil," Mr. Trump said at his rally. "We got a lot of gas."

"A few years ago, if we had a problem like you saw two days ago in the Middle East, we would've been in a panic," the president added. "Although not if I were your president — we never panic."

Earlier in the day, Mr. Trump stopped short of blaming Iran for the attacks on two Saudi oil plants, but he said the country was likely responsible.

"We want to find definitively who did this," he said. "It certainly would look to most like it was Iran."

The president's Secretaries of State, Defense and Energy have all blamed Tehran in tweets. A Saudi Arabian military spokesman said the weapons were Iranian, but was unclear on where the attack originated.

All options appear to be on the table when it comes to Mr. Trump's response. At one point, the president practiced restraint, claiming, "I don't want war with anybody, I'm somebody who would like not to have war." But he also kept open the possibility of U.S. military action, and even suggested a lethal retaliatory strike would be a proportionate response.

Former CIA acting director Michael Morell said the U.S. may have little choice. "It's not only Iran that's under pressure here, they can put pressure back on us," he said. "We have to deter them."

On Capitol Hill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has requested a briefing for all House members on the attack on the Saudi facilities, and Democrats are urging caution on any next steps.

"I don't think we need to be the protector of Saudi Arabia," said Senator Tim Kaine, a Democrat from Virginia.

Mr. Trump has also announced that a team led by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will head to Saudi Arabia, and said the U.S. is talking to other countries in the region as he decides how to respond. United Nations inspectors have also traveled to Saudi Arabia to investigate, while the U.S. works on declassifying information to share publicly.

Iran continues to deny any involvement, and the nation's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ruled out talks with the U.S. at any level.

Francine, if it were not for so many approved and credible/trustworthy prophecies from God's messengers, I might agree we could be hundreds of years out. But, all indication, especially as it refers to most our beloved Church leaders loosing their 'salt' and with all the world upheaval and the means to destroy the world we know with nuclear weapons in a heart beat, also add to the messages the prophets are revealing today. The prophecies that the world we know is changing for the worst are in full motion, but by the grace and will of our God, we shall soon enter into the Era of Peace as promised by our Lady of Fatima and Revelations 20.

My conjecture on this is that this has more to do with publicly outing the nations against any action (China, Russia, etc) rather than any sternly worded statement on the part of the UN security council.

US eyes UN action over Saudi blasts
    AFP | Updated: Sep 18, 2019, 11:34 IST

WASHINGTON: The United States hopes that the UN Security Council takes up the attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure for which Washington blames Iran, a senior US official said Tuesday.
The official said that Saudi Arabia, as the target of the weekend blasts, needed to take the lead in seeking action by the Security Council but that the United States first needed to prepare information for release.
"We do see a role for the UN Security Council to play," the official told reporters on condition of anonymity.
"Saudi Arabia has been attacked, which has global consequences. The UN Security Council was created to address threats to international peace and security, and this attack meets that criteria," he said.
He did not specify what action he would seek at the Security Council, where Russia and China wield veto power and have been critical of President Donald Trump's unilateral sanctions against Iran.
European powers have also distanced themselves from Trump's hawkish line on Iran and sought to preserve a deal on Tehran's nuclear program, from which he withdrew.
US officials say that the attacks that hit Abqaiq, one of the world's largest oil facilities, and the Khurais oil field, originated in Iran.
The blasts were claimed by Yemen's Huthi rebels, who enjoy support from Iran and have been targeted by a Saudi-led air campaign that has helped trigger a humanitarian catastrophe.
