DeGaulle, Is labeling another member a "nasty provocateur(s)" a way of making a case with sincerity? If that's what you think, you are in no position to lecture others, certainly not with such condescension. Padraig has asked us to move on. I intend to. CrewDog may be dear to many -- I don't doubt it -- but he was out of control in the last day or so, by anyone's definition.

mmm it seems I may have had the wool pulled over my eyes in this matter. not for the first time. I will have to go away and pray and think over this. There is a very bad spirit here, a trickster. .. Prayer and discernment required I must pray to Our Lady. How annoying if I have been fooled..ah well it will keep me humble.
I have banned Harper from the forum , apologised to Crewdog and invited him back. I don't blame him if he doesn't want to. I made a bad mistake. I finally caught on to Harper when she began very, very nastily crowing to me about Crewdog leaving in a PM. There is something wrong there with her I will say no more. Well there you go.
Please God, Crewdog will come back. After all, he is the armed wing of the MotherofGod movement! We need him to watch our six!

I have been watching this play out and it seemed if Crewdog posted something, Harper was right there accusing him in some way of still believing in that "false prophet" when it had nothing to do with the post at all. I agree with everything you say. There is an aloneness that comes with God's generous grace. I ponder it. I don't understand why He has given me this grace. It breaks my heart to see that others who grew up in the faith, went to Catholic schools and colleges as I did and hat parents who followed the faith just basically let go of it. Let it slip away. When I asked one friend why she shrugged and basically said she doesn't need it. And yet she will sometimes text me to pray for members of her family. People in the pews in this parish where I have been for 30 years cheer gay marriage or drop out of the Church when a child declares his/her sexual "identity". It baffles me. And ironically it is mostly people like myself who went far away into real darkness and were saved by God's incredible mercy that take their faith seriously and are tuned into the prophetic and aware of the signs of the times. Seriously. Even in the prolife movement the staunchest defenders are those who as young women had abortions. Those of us who strayed into new age and we're delivered seem to have a deeper instinct for the machinations of the evil one. Perhaps it is because we know how easily we can act wickedly and how utterly dependent we are on God's grace and mercy. It is a mystery. I ponder it. But when you have fallen far and Jesus has literally lifted you out of the pit then you desire the rest of your life to console Him and to stay faithful to Him and defend him and beg Him to save poor sinners. You are right Padraig. Many many are running down the broad road completely sure of their choices. I have to step up my prayers and make an effort to up my Holy Hours to every day. The days are evil as St Paul says.
The man who never made a mistake never made anything. We were all wound up. Is there any way we can individually contact Crewdog? Maybe if enough of us ask him to come back, he will.
A spirit of division is not of God. Charity in all things. I pray Crew Dog returns. He has taken up valuable sentry duty on this forum. He is a watchman on the wall. And Padraig don't berate yourself. How could you know? It did feel like a bad spirit after the fact but hindsight is always 20/20. Hard to see it when you are in the middle of it.
We have a saying here: "a good man to go to the well with" A carry over from frontier times when you needed someone to have your back in an attack and water was essential.
