We keep hoping things will change course in a positive direction, there is nothing wrong with this attitude. And yet, the currents keep moving in one direction at a pace never seen before. I don't know that we can escape this, I think many will because they will have made correct choices, based on intuition. Do your best.
Did anyone really expect anything different? After all, Trump's entire second term has been a combination of left-liberal imperialist policies driven by powerful lobbies, primarily by Israel and the military-industrial complex. He protected the worst criminals through the Epstein files , pedophiles and murderers. First, they pretended the files didn't exist, then they concealed them and downplayed their significance, even pointing to rising stock markets as though that somehow mattered more. That alone is shocking. He started seven wars after campaigning on a promise not to start a single one, and not one of them benefited the United States. In Gaza, he grotesquely displayed visions of luxury casinos built on the bodies of dead children, in a place where genocide is being carried out. At a time when satellites can supposedly identify the watch on a person's wrist, a school full of girls aged five to eleven was attacked at the beginning of the war against Iran. Those children were sacrificed as though we were witnessing the darkest pagan sacrificial rituals described in biblical times. More than half of American military bases were destroyed, threats were made to annihilate an entire civilization, and stock markets were manipulated while a small circle of people close to him, including his son-in-law, enriched themselves on the blood of innocent people. Meanwhile, Trump's own wealth multiplied several times over. At the same time, fuel prices soared to record highs, particularly diesel, driving up inflation, rents, and food prices. And when he was asked about it, he openly said, straight into the camera, that he didn't care about ordinary citizens. He removed a Catholic woman from his religious advisory board because she said the United States should not participate in killing innocent people or wage wars on behalf of another country. Trump expelled her from the board after Jewish members demanded it. He turned his back on the very people who helped bring him to power , people like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and numerous traditional Republicans such as Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Instead, he surrounded himself with former Democrats, warmongers, and people fighting for Israel's interests. We cannot know how much of this world is merely a stage, but under Trump, the political right got exactly what Brazil got with Bolsonaro, Italy with Meloni, and the right in Ireland with its own leaders, and so on. What we got was scandal, policies completely contrary to what people had expected, and the continued destruction of these countries — faster in some areas, slower in others, but always moving in the same direction. In other words, they have caused even greater damage than the left, because they destroyed people's hope. People believed in them. They believed that real change was finally coming. And this brings us to the realization that humanity has become so deeply corrupted that wherever you turn, you encounter betrayal, deception, and lies. We are essentially talking about one political party, apparently controlled by the same master. Once again, the Bible tells us what kind of times these are. Everyone was waiting for some earthly messiah to come and save them, but we have already received our Messiah. This is not an economic crisis. It is a spiritual and moral crisis in which honesty, reason, and truth have been thrown into a pit of mud, while lies and destruction lead society. As Jesus said, such things must come to pass, but woe to the one through whom they come. Salvation was never to be found in Trump or anyone like him. He said what people wanted to hear, but his actions were the exact opposite. And many people struggle to distinguish between actions and ideas, between what someone says and what they actually do. Whatever happens will happen according to God's will. Even if everyone abandons us, God never will.
I don't think people necessarily expected different but hope for it every day. I also don't believe anyone here believes President Trump is their saviour, but the better of two possible directions. Also, much of what you posted is not only heavily biased, but factually incorrect. IE Half of US military bases having been destroyed. I can point out other things as well if you like. I don't say this to have a debate, but to have a conversation that could lead to something positive. I get your frustration, everyone has this currently.
Listening to reports from an Irish radio journalist in Texas, I think it was, the ignorance of some of the voters was astonishing. One man who was interviewed was surprised when the journalist told him that Trump had attacked Iran-this man thought it was the opposite. He wasn’t the only deluded one on the report. This would lead one to believe that many US voters are breath-takingly unaware of the facts and form all their opinions from the narratives that are directed at them.
This is all of media and has been for a long time. Everything is heavily steeped in propaganda and it has far reaching influence. I am certain this kind of thing is happening in Ireland too.
