Beautiful and true, PF. This is my belief too. Satan attacks more viciously where there is hope of salvation.
The rejection of the Logos, Jesus Christ is the rejection of reason, and is the rejection of a moral order. A Jew, therefore, is one who rejects Logos. That is why Israel carries out genocide in Gaza and is bombing civilian targets in Lebanon and Iran. Benjamin Netanyahu (some would say satanyahu) has succeeded in turning the whole world against Israel fulfilling St Paul's prophecy that 'the Jews are the enemy of all mankind' (1 Thess 2v15).
I’m still reading Israel Shamir. He says that the early Zionists were aware of the flaws of Jews and some actually tried to correct them, but their supremacist nature won through, ensuring indefinite conflict with their neighbours. Now, Zionism itself has been taken over by what amounts to a supremacist Jewish nationalism shared by religious Jews and atheists alike. This view I also came across very recently in an interview of a Jazz musician (forget his name) who has abandoned his Jewishness and Israeli citizenship entirely-he said that secular Zionism is bad, but it has been replaced by something worse. As for the ‘Christian’ Zionists, many of these sects have equivocated on the perversity issues in recent times, probably under the influence of their ‘elder brothers in faith’. I suspect that Catholic dialogue with these ‘elder brothers’ has led to increased tolerance (and worse) of perversity, also. Remember, the (almost entirely homosexual) abuse scandal within the Church began with the bishops giving too much credit to the psychology profession (the ideas of which were mostly Jewish) rather than treating it as the horrific sin that it was. They sent the abusers for ‘treatment’, instead of sending for the police. Where did the bishops get these notions? Maybe they came up with them, all by themselves. Or maybe it was suggested to them by those with whom they dialogue? Ironically, I first discovered these facts from a highly moral Jewish lady who dealt with sexual abuse and was actually quite respectful to the bishops.
The best when they fall, fall the lowest I was told--it is certainly true in the Church and the Church replicates the people of Israel in the Old Testament. Look at some of the popes in our long history. And some of the worst ex-Catholics---Hitler and Napoleon and Stalin and Mussolini. All rejected the Catholic faith and became monsters. They too rejected Logos and became de facto members of the synagogue of satan. It replicates Lucifer's fall. From the brightest to the lowest through pride and envy. Something that can happen to any one individual or to any people. I grant that the Jewish people are unique in their wholesale rejection of Christ but we have the promise that it will not always be so. And we must pray for that.
Psychology has substituted for religion among the modernists in general and the Church modernists have fallen in to the habit ( since VII) of using it to explain and excuse and even justify what is grave sin. The " I'm okay you're okay" happy clappy pop psychology of the 70's caused whole sale defection from religious orders. It was horrific. Letting go of Thomas Aquinas and his understanding of the human person was catastrophic for the Church. I find it curious and strange that the whole body of protestantism is based on rejecting the Catholic Faith. And the whole Jewish identity whether secular or religious is based on rejecting Christ. Fr Dan Reehill made an interesting observation. When Protestants rejected the Faith and the Holy Sacrifice all they had left for worship was preaching the Bible and hymn singing. When Jews rejected Christ and lost the temple and their rites of sacrifice all they had left was rabbinical study in their worship. The Torah. Both forms of worship are sad pale offerings compared to the glorious Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
As Dave says, great post. The Protestants and the Jews both lack any direct communion with God. Both are worldly religions and both found their finishing-line at atheism. One emerged in theft, the other grew in usury-together they have provided us with Mammon.
According to a report by The Telegraph, the Pentagon and Donald Trump are reportedly prepared to support Argentina's claim to sovereignty over the Falkland Islands. According to the Pentagon, this situation should be reconsidered, which has reportedly infuriated the United Kingdom, as it views this as Trump's retaliation for Britain's refusal to assist him in the Middle East conflict.
Another source of the same rumor suggests that Trump may be considering expelling Spain from NATO for the same reason. Note: I don't know why some of the links from X that I've been posting seem to lose their validity after a while, redirecting instead to the platform's homepage, where the trending topics are displayed.
Something incredible happened to me and my family yesterday. I wanted to share it here because it was really something I think will stick with me for the rest of my life. We were driving home from my son's orchestra concert, which is about 2 hours away from home, and the entire drive we saw up ahead that there was a very large storm with a fantastic lightning show. I kept an eye on the radar on my phone, and it always showed that we would just get rain...that the storm was a bit to our north and moving east. So we were just hoping we'd make it home before the rain hit. About 5 minutes before we got home (it was around 11pm, so quite dark), the rain began. We pulled up to the carport, I jumped out into the rain to move stuff out of the way, and then we raced to get the kids inside before the rain got heavier. I was carrying a big bag and my 3 year old, and I tripped and fell into my riding lawn mower and was sort of comically stuck there for a while trying to get back up...when my 3 year old started shouting seriously, "Saruman is doing this! Saruman is doing this!" He was looking around him and very worried, and he'd never said such a thing before (for anyone who doesn't know, Saruman is the evil wizard in Lord of the Rings), so it gave me a strange feeling but I laughed it off. I managed to get back up and all of us got inside. Less than a minute later, it began hailing. It wasn't too bad at first, and we were looking out the window and saw that it was pea-sized to dime-sized. So we continued unloading our stuff and waited for it to pass....but it didn't. It got louder and louder, more and more fierce, and the hail began to grow in size. It was slamming against all of our windows, from every direction, and the kids became frightened. So we all knelt down in the center of the house, grabbed the Divine Mercy picture, and began praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet. As we got about halfway in, the hail grew larger, and the roar was deafening. We could barely hear each other shouting our prayers. It sounded like baseballs were being hurled at the walls and incredibly large things were being dropped on the roof. I legitimately became afraid and very overwhelmed. My oldest son was crying and all of my kids' eyes were as wide as saucers. At that moment, I remembered a dream I had had over 3 years ago, where I saw a horde of demons hurling what looked to me like snowballs at our house, slamming them into the walls and windows with deafening thuds. In the dream, my husband, kids and I all began praying loudly, "Jesus Christ is Lord! Jesus Christ is Lord!" and the demons were forced to retreat until they were all gone. (I believe I told that dream here on the forum at the time, it made such an impression on me.) I had thought it was very unique because in dreams I always pray the Hail Mary or Our Father over and over when I encounter demons. So anyway, that dream popped into my head, and I shouted over the deafening roar, "This is just like my dream! Say 'Jesus Christ is Lord!'" Immediately my husband and children joined in, and we said it over and over, and the hail began to subside right away. It faded and faded into nothing, and the entire storm immediately ended. Perfect silence. We all looked at each other with our mouths open in shock, like we'd all just witnessed the power of Jesus and were completely speechless. The look of joy and relief and wonder on my oldest's face, when he'd just been sobbing a minute before, is something I'll never forget. I hope my kids will treasure this memory forever!
Powerful! I don't know if this gives further confirmation to you. But I am seeing a lot more chatter about powers and principalities over certain lands these days.
I just looked up when I had that dream, and it was actually 4 years ago on April 24. Yesterday was April 24! I can't believe it. God forewarned me 4 years prior TO THE DAY. That really makes me wonder what would have happened if He hadn't warned me. We looked everywhere and have absolutely no damage from the hail, on our unprotected vehicles and house. All we have are holes in plants in our garden, but they're all ok. That hail was at least golfball-sized.
I find quite often that when the Lord wants to give a blessing, the old boy will try to get in first with a temptation to take our eyes off the Lord. Well done on remaining focused!
