After reading John Martinez's last commentary #2, on what takes place after the Warning, it will be nothing short of a miracle for any of us to survive. Perhaps a 1/3 will. I also found it interesting that faithful Catholics will be identified by a circle (host) on their forehead. As far as surrvival, I like what Charlie Johnston posted about not worrying about debt, cause after the economic crash occurs money will have no meaning. He said we should use whatever extra money we might have to do physical preperations with (for family and neighbors). I sense this myself. For instance, if you have a 401K, but can not get the money out without penalty and taxes, perhaps you could borrow against what you have in your plan and use that money to by preperations. I am totally convinced whatever you have in money, 401K, retirement, savings, checking account, precious metals or cash will be totally worthless at some point.

I read that also and am having a hard time discerning that. 2 or 3 homes standing out of 100? Mabye in an area where the terrorists nuke, but worldwide? That does not seem plausible based on other things I've read stating the loss here will be less than WWI and WWII. Who else has said we are in for times that bad? I mean that's total destruction.

And I do think that a severe financial collapse will lead to the cratering of assets, but "totally worthless"? I would actually love to live in a world like that, it would be wonderful as money is truly a necessary evil in our lives now and has ruined so many people's souls, but totally worthless?

But not to get lost in the details, all we have to do is prepare ourselves and take that "next right step" (love that, thanks Charlie) as each one comes to us and trust in our Lord and follow His guidance.

I think we'll need to re-set our thinking about death. With what's coming, we have to see sudden death as a tender mercy of the Father. If we are called to survive the storm, we will need to become Saints, and big ones and quickly!

The approved messages from Akita, Japan speak of a chastisement of horrific proportions. Allegedly, Cardinal Ratzinger told the Japanese ambassador to the Vatican that the Fatima secret and the Akita message is essentially the same.

"The third message on October 13, 1973, the actual anniversary of the final visions and miracle of Fatima is as follows: "As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day, recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests. The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, and bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their Confreres. The Church and altars will be vandalized. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.
The demon will rage especially against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will no longer be pardon for them."

just read this small reminder of miracle and grace on John Martinez blog...

Rosary Miracle at Hiroshima - August 6th, 1945
There was a home eight blocks from where the A-Bomb that went off in Hiroshima Japan. This home had a church attached to it which was completely destroyed, but the home survived, and so did the eight German Jesuit missionaries who prayed the rosary in that house faithfully every day. These men were missionaries to the Japanese people, they were non-military, but because Germany and Japan were allies during WWII, they were permitted to live and minister within Japan during the war. Not only did they all survive with relatively minor injuries, but they all lived well past that awful day with no radiation sickness, no loss of hearing, or any other visible long term defects or maladies. Naturally, they were interviewed numerous times (Fr. Schiffer, a survivor, said over 200 times) by scientists and health care people about their remarkable experience. Here is what they say: "we believe that we survived because we were living the message of Fatima. We lived and prayed the rosary daily in that home." Of course, the secular scientists are speechless and incredulous at this explanation - and they are sure there is some "real" explanation - but at the same time- over 55 years later, the scientists are still absolutely bamboozled when it comes to finding a plausible scenario to explain the missionaries unique escape from the hellish power of that bomb.

About the 2-3 homes standing. Only 2 of my 40-50 potato plants this year are standing right now as the rest got blight (they were supposed to be blight resistant seed) so I culled the blighted ones. I couldn't figure how 2 plants are perfect and the rest were really bad, maybe this is the answer. Saying that the ones I culled were edible but small with a few rotten ones, but they had to go they would all rot if not dug out.

Or else, maybe I'm spending too much time thinking about my garden!!

I'm not much of a gardener, but last year, on what must have been pure inspiration, we made a huge garden. I canned every single thing that came out of there, and it was a LOT. This year, we did the same thing and got 4 ears of corn, 4 or 5 squash and no tomatoes.

    Maybe another sign?

Jeeez... I feel bad now for you two. I had a bumper crop of sweet corn (1/3rd acre), huge potato's, loaded with tomato's, peppers, onions etc... God was good to my gardening this year. Apple trees are loaded to the ground with apples and the rasberries were great. The only thing that was thin this year was our cherry tree, but it was loaded last year. The weeds grew really big this year too, as I did not weed as much as i should have.

OK, Indy. You know what this means, right? Jesus loves Fatima, and we're getting smitten! (Smite-ed? I give up. Chastised?)

After the 3 days of darkness this is way more likely to believe because the whole world will be purged of the evil in it.

It would be a worldwide chastisement, claimed mystic and stigmatist Marie Julie Jahenny of Coyault, France, during which the infernal powers will be loosed and will execute all the enemies of God. "The crisis will explode suddenly; the punishments will be shared by all and will succeed one another without interruption... " (January 4, 1884).

    Jahenny claimed:

The three days of darkness "will be on a Thursdays, Friday, and Saturday; days of the Most Holy Sacrament, of the Cross and Our Lady ....” “Three days less one night."

"The earth will be covered in darkness," she quoted the Virgin Mary as saying on 20th of September 1882, “and hell will be loosed on earth.” "Thunder and lightning will cause those who have no faith or trust in My Power, to die of fear."

"During these three days of terrifying darkness, no windows must be opened, because no one will be able to see the earth and the terrible color it will have in those days of punishment without dying at once... "

"NO ONE OUTSIDE A SHELTER... will survive. The earth will shake as at the judgment and fear will be great.” (8th of December 1882).

"Three-quarters of the population of the globe will disappear. Half the population of France will be destroyed."

"The sky will be on fire, the earth will split... During these three days of darkness let the blessed candle be lighted everywhere, no other light will shine.... THE CANDLES OF BLESSED WAX ALONE WILL GIVE LIGHT during this horrible darkness. ONE CANDLE alone will be enough for the duration of this night of hell... In the homes of the wicked and blasphemers these candles will give NO LIGHT... Everything will shake except the piece of furniture on which the blessed candle is burning. This will not shake. You will all gather around with the crucifix and my blessed picture. This is what will keep away this terror."

    Marie Julie Jahenny (1884)
