I was thinking when the White House lit itself up in Rainbow colors after the Supreme Court Vote that every Christian American would realize we are IN the storm

You could cut and paste the name of any western leader in there... the 'rainbow' is a boring monochrome in reality.

Im known for having the odd rant or two about the Association of Catholics Priests, the ACP, on this forum.
I'm truly astonished at what I have just read this evening.
Where do I start? I'm more depressed than angry, or rather, now that my anger has subsided a little. I mean, really, this is awful.
It concerns an event in Limerick, hosted by the ACP recently. They invited the "Women's Ordination Conference" among many other "reform" movement groups.
At one point the women's ordination movement said: "I asked the priest leading the prayer committee if a woman could co-preside with one of the male priests at our shared Eucharist." The woman though this would introduce "gender balance" to the Mass. (yes, you read that correctly, apparently in addition of political parties, gender balance is now important in Mass celebrants!!!!).
This was met with some uneasiness amongst some of the priests in attendance, not due to any theological issues that they had, but rather that some of their parishioners may be shocked or the Bishops would be annoyed.
So, since they couldn't arrive at an agreement, they did the following:
" Unable to celebrate the Eucharist together, the group instead shared a prayer service, in which bread and wine (the sign of Christ) were placed on a table, but not shared (a symbol of our division). Each person placed a candle on the altar, as a sign of our solidarity with women and of our hope for the time when women will be treated as equals in the church." (Emphasis mine).

And there we have it .
Sign....symbol, that obviously spells the ACP belief on what was formerly known as TRANSUBSTANTIATION.
And just to shock you a little more, here is a picture of the "sign....symbol"
(What's with the White wine? Shouldn't it at least be red?)

    TOR,
I got this email from Jimi Akin yesterday.... so timely for your post.
    I'lll make 2 posts

In 2004 the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments issued an instruction titled Redemptionis Sacramentum.

This document introduced a way of ranking liturgical abuses by severity. It offered a three-fold division, classifying them as "graviora delicta" (Latin, "more grave offenses"), "grave matters," and "other abuses."

The examples it gave were not exhaustive, but it indicated several of the absolute worst abuses by putting them in the graviora delicta category. Here are seven things you should know.

    Special Handling
These offenses are so grave that the Church has a special procedure for handling reports of them. Instead of being handled on the ordinary, diocesan level, they are handled by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) in Rome.

    Sacrilege with the Sacred Species
The first of the graviora delicta that is reserved to the CDF is "taking away or retaining the consecrated species for sacrilegious ends, or throwing them away."

For example, taking the consecrated Host to use in a Satanic or other non-Christian ritual or pouring the Precious Blood down a sacrarium. (A sacrarium is a special sink in churches that drains into the earth rather than the sewer system.)

Click here for more on why you can't pour the Precious Blood down a sacrarium.

    Attempted or Simulated Celebration
The second offense is "the attempted celebration of the liturgical action of the eucharistic sacrifice or the simulation of the same."

For example, cases where a person who is not a priest attempts to celebrate the Eucharist (such as by so-called "women priests").

    Forbidden Concelebration
The third offense is "the forbidden concelebration of the eucharistic sacrifice with ministers of ecclesial communities that do not have the apostolic succession nor acknowledge the sacramental dignity of priestly ordination."

For example, cases where a Catholic priest concelebrates the Eucharist with Protestant ministers, whose communities do not have apostolic successor or acknowledge that priestly ordination is sacramental.

    Forbidden Consecration
The final offense is "the consecration for sacrilegious ends of one matter without the other in the celebration of the Eucharist or even of both outside the celebration of the Eucharist."

For example, consecrating either the Host or the Precious Blood for a sacrilegious purpose (e.g., use in a Satanic or other non-Christian ritual) or the consecration of both outside of a Mass.

    Other Abuses
Though the above abuses are among the most serious offenses against the Eucharist, there are other abuses. Redemptionis Sacramentum warns against thinking that these are the only ones that are important. Instead, it says that other violations "are not to be considered of little account, but are to be numbered among the other abuses to be carefully avoided and corrected."

    Learning More
Fortunately, the graviroa delicta mentioned above are not commonly encountered in a normal parish setting, but other abuses are more common. To learn more about the way the Church classifies and handles liturgical abuses, read sections 169-184 of Redemptionis Sacramentum.

I'd also invite you to read my book Mass Revision: How the Liturgy Is Changing and What It Means for You, which includes detailed information about the entire Mass, including liturgical abuses. It even has a special chapter listing the practical steps you should take when you encounter liturgical abuses.

I was drawn to that prayer for that specific reason. My son and I both completed it. I find great comfort in that and it comes to mind quite often.

The Nasdaq Is Flashing a Dot-com Era Warning Signal

On Monday, St. Louis Federal Reserve President James Bullard said there was more than a 50 percent chance of a September rate hike. He added that he is worried investors have been "reaching for yield" in this low rate environment — scrambling for higher returns by making questionable investment decisions.

Technically, breadth remains a point of concern. The chart above shows how the percentage of S&P 500 stocks in uptrends remains depressed and well off the highs seen as recently as April — 56 percent now vs. 75 percent then — while stock prices remain largely unaffected. This is a sign of narrow buying interest. And it's a sign of underlying vulnerability.

Jason Goepfert at SentimenTrader notes that only a handful of stocks pushed the Nasdaq to its new highs; there were more declining issues than advancing ones on Friday, which is admittedly pretty odd.

On the Nasdaq 100, this was only the second time that the index was up 1 percent or more to a new 52-week high amid net declining issues. The other day was March 23, 2000, just days after the dot-com bubble peaked.

No wonder then that according to the latest BofA Merrill Lynch Global Fund Manager Survey, cash levels jumped to 5.5 percent, the highest since December 2008 and prior to that, 2001. The investment pros are battening down the hatches.

Speculators smash gold as dollar squeeze tightens
News that China's gold reserves are far lower than assumed has rattled investors, but Beijing may not have told the full story

Powerful speculators have launched an unprecedented attack on the world gold market, driving prices to a five-year low as commodities wilt and the US Federal Reserve prepares to tighten monetary policy.

Spot prices slumped by more than 4pc to $1,086 an ounce in overnight trading after anonymous funds sold 57 tonnes of gold in Shanghai and New York, choosing the moment of minimum market liquidity in what appears to have been a synchronized strike intended to smash confidence.

Ross Norman, a veteran gold analyst at brokers Sharps Pixley, said sellers dumped 7,600 contracts covering 24 tonnes on the Globex exchange in New York in a two-minute span after it opened late on Sunday night.
A further 33 tonnes were sold at almost exactly the same time in Shanghai. The combined hit of 57 tonnes in such a short period is an extraordinary event in the world’s relatively small gold market.

Funny how human cause global warming is all you hear about these days yet the real, ongoing, unstoppable, never talked about disaster at Fukushima is going to cause a massive cancer epidemic far beyond Japan. Now let's get back to trying to ban one of earth's natural and required elements, CO2. (wanted to put smiley but it's no joke)

The source is RT, or Russian Times news, which I do not consider to be a reliable source of news. While the possibility exists for an increase in cancer rates, the effects will mostly be local to Japan, rather than worldwide. This will be indistinguishable from the rise in cancer rates due to Japanese smoking and the large number of abortions performed in the country.

(Not that there is any link between abortion and breast cancer. We all know that is just anti-abortion propaganda. Those British, Indian, and Chinese studies showing otherwise are by people who don't know their science.)
