Funnily enough I was watching the last two Batman films over the last two weeks bit by bit, 'Batman Begins' and, 'The Dark Knight'. In the 'Dark Knight' the evil 'Joker' was played by Heath Ledger. It struck me Ledger's brilliant portrayal of the Joker brought me as close to meeting the devil might be bringing me as close to meeting the devil on screen as I might ever want to come..... Heath Ledger himself of course died not too long afterwards and the film is plagued by a stream of tragedies. It seems to me if Holy Pictures and Statues attract angels, then too vivid a portrayal of evil....
There is a glorification of violence and impurity coming from the 'entertainment' industry that reflects a sick and decaying culture.
