Several nuns die after taking first shot of COVID vaccine

China has decided that vaccination is NOT to be offered to those over 59 (pension age in China) nor to those with serious health issues (diabetics, those with heart problems etc. etc.). Do you seriously believe that the CCP is doing this for humanitarian reasons? They are clearly doing it to 'cull' those who put the nation to most expense and is the exact opposite of those prioritised for vaccination in western nations in which (by comparison at least) there is some semblance of humanitarian care for the elderly and infirm.

SteveD, you are correct. China has an elderly problem, too many old people and too few young people to care for them, this is thanks to their one child policy.

China's Aging Population Becoming More Of A Problem (forbes.com)

"China’s dependency ratio for retirees could rise as high as 44% by 2050. The dependency ratio compares the difference between those not in the labor force with those who are working, or can work full-time. It is a yardstick geared to measure the pressure on taxable income going to support entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicaid in the U.S. for example. China's aging population is as big a worry as its debt bomb, if not more so, because China can make its debt disappear at the stroke of a pen, but the government cannot make millions of elderly and retirees disappear."

One way is by not allowing the elderly to be vaccinated. Pure evil.

Okay, China is bad, and I am a fool for thinking otherwise. It is also difficult for me to accept the fact that we continue to vaccinate those over 75 in nursing homes with a vaccine that has killed, caused life threatening reactions, and in some cases has even caused Covid infections; look what just happened with the nuns in Kentucky. These vaccines were approved as emergency treatment for 'humanitarian' reasons, but we have since discovered they are not safe for everyone. Prior to Covid, any drug that killed people or caused life threatening reactions would have been pulled from the market, yet they knowingly continue to push the vaccines. This is a red flag for an evil agenda under the cover of humanitarianism, and we have only begun to scratch the surface of heath related problems that could arise from these vaccines down the road. There is something very, very wrong here. Who knows, China's evil intentions to cull their aging population may very well backfire, the elderly who were not vaccinated might surprise the Chinese government, and live long lives.

There is a funny situation in Germany at the moment. Germans are very resistant to take the Asta Zeneca vaccine and the Government has been left with large stock piles that are not used. The press have discovered that the Chancellor Angela Merkel has not taken it herself. When asked why she is not taking it she said it is because she is over 65 years old (the German Government has said no one over 65 should take it as it would be risky).

So we have the amazing situation of the German Government pushing people to take a vaccine which the Leader of the Government won't take herself because she is afraid it might harm her.

    How crazy is that?

It's curious why some countries like say Germany and the USA tend to be so vaccine adverse while others such as Israel and the UK buy into it wholesale.

    Why knows?

Interesting how the Duke of Edinburgh wound up in hospital with an undisclosed illness after taking his.

Prince Philip is 99 years old and he is apparently being treated in a specialist cardiac facility. I am not sure whether anyone on the forum has so far admitted to being vaccinated so I may be the first to do so. I was very troubled at the prospect initially and knew that I would be treated as a priority candidate because of my age. However hearing that Pope Benedict had agreed to be vaccinated was 'good enough for me' (I couldn't care less what Francis decided). I have family members and friends who are medical professionals and am certain that there is no 'conspiracy' of any kind within the medical community. I am also certain that the vaccines are very effective. Because it takes about 3 weeks for the vaccine to reach (near) maximum efficacy the evidence even in the UK has been slow to emerge but the rate of infections, hospitalisations and deaths have all suddenly and dramatically fallen over the last couple of weeks. In the absence of any other explanation, this can only be because the vaccines have 'kicked in'. My daughter who nurses at a local hospital reports that CCP virus admissions have fallen from dozens/scores a week to 'a handful' in the past two weeks to the staff's great relief.

Merkel declined to take the 'Oxford' vaccine because it is her government's current policy not to use it for anyone over 65, which she is, so she could hardly say that she would take it in defiance of that policy. This arose because the EU 'experts' were not persuaded that its effectiveness had been proved in the elderly because they believed that initial tests had not included a sufficient proportion of old people and so it was regarded as 'unproven' for this age group (as well as the EU trying to belittle the UK's efforts in this whole matter). Results since that decision was made indicate that it is just as effective in the elderly as the Pfizer product, if not more so. Which is why the EU governments are now 'backtracking'.

This video (link below) is, I believe, very balanced and the risks to the elderly who take the vaccine (any of them) are acknowledged and quantified though the doctor is clear that they are outweighed by the advantages.

The Oxford/AstraZeneca type. I wasn't offered a choice. Ironically, from an ethical viewpoint, the Chinese vaccine appears to be most acceptable because it is of the 'traditional' form in which the 'dead' virus is the only active ingredient. However, there are serious questions about its efficacy (In Brazil where it has been widely used, scientists say that it is only just over 50% effective).

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

We need to take into account that 98% of people recover and develop natural immunity from this virus. The Chinese could find themselves lumbered with a big load to carry with so many elderly people who would inevitably develop natural immunity.

On the other hand they could find their younger population dependant on vaccines year after year when the virus mutates like these things do as they circle back like the common cold.

I would prefer to be allowed to fight the virus naturally, with the help of viteman D and some zinc, gaining natural immunity that way.

I personally don't want any vaccine but I am under pressure from my family who think I am foolish for not considering it and don't want their Dad to die of covid and I have a young grandchild I want to continue to see.

If I was going to do it I would only take one shot of the vaccine and avoid the second.

But then again I am stubborn so there are no guarantees I will join the vaccine queue.

I am increasingly of the opinion the covid and vaccine narratives are simply about control.

The fear-mongering and propaganda would surpass anything produced by Goebbels' Ministry of Enlightenment.

My ER doc sis got first shot. (53 years) I asked about side effects she said sore arm next day, hint of a sore throat and really tired the following day. She mentioned the second dose, which she gets in 30 days, is apparently the difficult one. (sounds fun)

She seemingly has total trust that this is safe in the medium to longer term. Not that she has much choice in taking it I suppose being front line.

Personally, I will forgo travel and vacations for another year or 2 to see how this all plays out before I would ever consider taking it. I'd gladly get a covid test any time it's required though if it meant my wife and I could do something for our 30th wedding anniversary end of this summer. (besides a long walk around the neighborhood!:))
