Just learned of this. Prayers going up. Please, Lord, put the right people around Brian to help him. Be of good courage, Brian. Our prayers are with you. Are you in Winchester?
oh Brian, I’m just seeing this tonight. I had no idea....It sounds very dangerous. Praying you have the option for the minimally invasive procedure. Please keep us posted Brian..you’re in my prayers!
Yes. Valley Health ER. Hospitals are old hat to me, so I don’t get anxious or flustered by an ER visit. I probably should have come in yesterday when it started but I was waiting to see if it would pass.
It’s gall bladder. It’s really enlarged and inflamed. I’ll be getting it out by laparoscopic surgery yet tonight or early tomorrow morning.
Brian will pray that you have a successful operation. You will be so glad when they take it out and the pain is no longer nagging you.
Prayer today and offering up mass , Brian. Many prayers. So very sorry to here this, God's Holy Will be done. .... at least you were't away on that road trip in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks Padraig. Yes, that fact certainly wasn’t lost on me! I wouldn’t have wanted to be half way across the country when this happened. They've been giving me morphine for the pain. Thank the Lord for good pharmacology. I don’t know how they could have survived this prior to modern medicine.
They just switched from morphine to dilaudid for the pain. Hopefully it works better and lasts longer than the morphine they had been giving me.
Amen. I can honestly say I’m at peace in the midst of this. No anxiety or worry. I’ve learned to just put it in the Lord’s Hands: “Jesus I Trust in you.”
Feeling a lot better this morning since getting rehydrated via IV and getting IV antibiotics. Last night my WBC in the ER was 26. It’s already down to 17 this morning. I’m scheduled for laparoscopic surgery some time this morning and will probably go home this afternoon if the gall bladder isn’t grossly infected. If it is I’ll have to be here several more days for IV antibiotics.
