He said the intermediate world is dominated by Lucifer. All preternatural powers are related with this dimension. There are Catholic books that speak about these realities like The Unseen World: An Exposition of Catholic Theology in Its Relation to Modern Spiritism by Cardinal Lepicier. But I think the best exposition about it is from Orthodox Theology. I recommend the book The Soul After Death by Fr. Seraphim Rose. Bishop Ignatius Brianchaninov also have studies on it. The case of Major Ed Ames is interesting. He has the preternatural power of remote viewing developed. And he says that whenever he operates on the astral plane no one ever sees him. But Lucifer always sees him. He described Lucifer as a big ball of light or something like that.
I met a lady in Medj some years ago, she had mental illness but also was affected demonically. If I looked in her eyes unexpectedly, I would see two hate filled ones looking back at me, they would immediately roll in her head like a slot machine and two normal ones would take their place. We just came home from the Fatima rosary prayer at the church and there is a huge holy water dispenser in the foyer of the church so I am set. We also had some medals and our rosaries blessed while we were there. What a wonderful afternoon, I only wish that were more people who came. It was very sparse today.

I think there are several things about the devil that are good to bear in mind in these phenomena. The devil is not a person he is Spirit. This means in terms of Metaphysics he is an isn ess. He is like a Word, or thought of God. It is impossible for us to understand what that means as we are not pure however. However we might grasp certain consequences of this. We talk for instance of the devil being smart or very highly intelligent. In fact as such the devil would not view it this way. The devil quite rightly regards, I believe as inconsequential . He is right in this. He is proud, but not proud of his intelligence. The devil can put on or take off intelligence as we put on or take of clothes. This can be disconcerting for us as one minute he can seem sharp as a razor the next thick as tow planks, it matters not to him so long as it suits his purposes. Nevertheless one would be crazy to get in an argument with him. Secondly the devil is as though playing chess with God. He wil lnever win, he knows this, but where else can he go but try. But he has his own logic. It may not be logic as we see it, but he is following his own set out path. He has to ask God's permission in all his dealings with us. There is no random , no accident. I guess what I am trying to say in dealing with the devil you are dealing with the totally, totally weird and other. Don't try too much to understand it, you never will. But you have a weapon that will always kill him. Humility. Humility Humility. How does this work in practice? Hand everything over to God. Don't you do the batting let God do the batting for you. All the batting, every bit of it. All you have to do is ask.
Great insight. It is so easy to think I am on the path of humility until someone offends me--in this case my son who seemed ungrateful. Suddenly I was all knotted up with "righteous" indignation and then it came to me: no! Stand fast in charity. Forgive and forget. How often have I been ungrateful to my Heavenly Father. But it was a struggle.
Awesome! I find that all my defects as well are best handled this way. He has granted me relief from the flesh in ways which have been simply incredible. All I had to do was ask and get out of the way.

I teach the Fruits of the Holy Spirit, and what comes against them. It is changing the way our mind thinks, Satan cannot read our minds or heart, remember they are fallen angels. But his demons have watched our behavior and attitude and what comes out of our mouths since we were born. He knows who and what pushes our button, that makes us react. Getting into the Bible every day. Remember Satan knows every word in the Bible but he cannot walk the talk. KNOW YOUR ENEMY AND HIS ATTACKS: Say in the name of Jesus this is not mine and I don't accept this, it is not mine. If you feel guilty, that is an attack. God the Father will show you gently if it is yours, you will have sorrow, then repent go to confession often. Identify the attack give God the praise he showed you were you are weak, get your focus off satan. Give God the glory. Galatians 5:22,23...."But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Self Control, against such their is no law. James 1:3,4....Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything Graces that directs our attention to our fellow man: PATIENCE: To tolerate others waiting. WHAT COMES AGAINST PATIENCE: Blame, Frustration, Anger, Discouragement, Worries, Lies, Unforgiveness. KINDNESS: To be generous, to meet others needs. Be a friend. Enduring the test and trials. WHAT COMES AGAINST KINDNESS: Controller, Rebellious, Judgemental,, Lying, Fear of Failure, Gossip, Criticize, , Anger, Unforgiveness, Procrastinates. GOODNESS: To do what is right.
