We know that when we die we simply pass to the next world.

And, more importantly, we know that:

    Psalm 116:15

Precious in the sight of the Lord
Is the death of His godly ones.

And yet when death comes we realize we are often ill prepared.

O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered: Accept our prayers on behalf of thy servant Carol and grant her an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of thy saints; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

To the best of my knowledge her last post here was on February 8.

She said she was praying for those who perished in the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

    What a perfect farewell post.

Oh my goodness! So very sad. She was wonderful and so full of hope. Her posts were always so filled with information. I will miss her terribly. I was wondering what was going on with her lately. May she be in heaven helping us all down here. Love you Carol.

I just went and looked at my messages. I used to be a regular in here but very infrequent the last few years. She would send me messages those few times I logged in and say great to see you online. Her and Delouros were always so kind to me. As were others of course but they went out of their way often to reach out to me when our family was struggling. She’s in a better place now. RIP

…I certainly never met her, and can’t honestly be sure we communicated, directly, on any given post. And yet I remain sad to learn of this, as her name was a familiar, sort of comforting site, here, as was Dolours’, Beth’s and others. And not that “they” passed, but I guess I’m one of those who doesn’t do well with loss, of any kind. After reading Carol55’s obituary, I see she was only a bit older than me. That’s sobering. The priest at our church, this evening, spoke as he speaks many times, of how short life is so we should get to confession, that death is a part of life, and that God gives gifts of people to us, but He created them and we really can’t fault or question Him, or get overly distraught when he takes such a gift back. My gut reaction is always the same; That may be true, but some of us don’t have that ability to take in stride that which he and many others appear to do so well.
Well, I hadn’t planned on going off on a tangent, here, so let me circle back around and say I do pray for Carol55 and her family.

…well, I’m glad you liked my tangent, but to me it’s just more musings of an overly sentimental , middle aged, semi mess , who probably should keep tangents less sloppy and depressing, for the sake of others.
