May I just address the wide use of this photograph. It is because the authorities/media/blogs/etc out there refuse to recognise the significance of the dialogue which took place between the Vatican and Vassula from 2001 to 2004. As Frodo illustrated in this thread, anyone who goes for a quick search of Vassula on Google is immediately presented with the 20 year old Notification. There is clearly opposition to Vassula within the Vatican and this is why the dialogue with Cardinal Ratzinger is not mentioned on the Vatican website. Cardinal Levada's letter from 2007 definitely harmed Vassula as it virtually 'rubbished' the dialogue Cardinal Ratzinger undertook. But it is not about celebrity, it is about trying to get the TRUTH out there. The photograph confirms that Vassula was invited to meet the Cardinal in 2008, something he would most certainly never have done if she was a 'condemned' visionary.
In my opinion Padraig, this is a little bitty bit judging.... The apostles also were globe trotters... Vassula was terribly attacked and there was false news about her spreading everywhere. In defense of the Messages coming from God, she correctly undertook steps to show the truth. We have to defend the truth ! Showing, in addition, a picture of her with Cardinal Radzinger is not a lie. I think that if there would be a camera in the times of the Apostles, then some of their friends would also have taken a photo of them with, for exemple, Jesus. Through this photo she also proved that she effectively was with Cardinal Radzinger regarding TLIG. So she is doing nothing wrong by this. But those who judge her (I am talking here in general) so easily and freely and condemn her without knowing (not even the messages !), I would not like to be at their place during Judgement Hour.... In short: I think all members here have a point. Regarding myself: I just hope Putin will behave as St Paul.... because we are called to live in hope. Nevertheless, I keep a healthy distrust towards all big leaders in the world, until proven otherwise, this includes Putin. For the rest, we will see ! We should not forget either that Our Lady told us that we live in confusing times and that we should not look at the future or try to analyse how the leaders of this world will behave. Anyway, everyone in this forum wants the leaders to behave as real Christians, no ? What you said Padraig is the real truth: "I know the feeling. This might happen "regularly", but, makes you think why Russia has picked today, when tensions are running so high, to pick and taunt the UK.

I think we need to be careful judging others who are judging/discerning alleged messages or authenticity. It is always sinful to judge another's soul. It is not however sinful to discern the signs of our times and who's saying what. We had better discern/judge where error's are potentially coming from, lest we fall into them ourselves. Each of us can and should hear what is being said and whether it leads to truth. One could however, distance themselves from all messages and live a contemplative life in prayer and penance. At some point we all may assume this way of life, but for the time being I am trying to hear and adhere to what heaven is telling us through the Mother of God. It can be confusing and frustrating trying to discern/judge the messages coming from true and false messengers. I have not read where Vassula has ever said anything contrary to Church teachings. However, she is not infallible when it comes to judgement/discernment in the temporal order. I think she is wrong on her timing of her messages/thinking in that Putin is not the saint/God-send she thinks he is. Russia will at some point lead the resurgence back to the faith, but it is not this go-around. It will come after the formal consecration as our Lady of Fatima requested.

ella, I am with you! The one thing we can know for certain is the great confusion, on who-what-where-and when, to believe is upon us. It is so, even within the Church. Do we believe in Cardinal Bertone or not? Some have given up on Pope Francis while others are hailing his new approach. Some are in support of Russia others think they are provoking war. Yes, we cannot let the misinformation/confussion keep us from inner peace and prayer. After all, this is the only thing that last through it all.

Yes, I feel like you: exhausted as soon as I get involved in all the news about what is going on in the world and when we try to figure out what it all means, as if we were God.... this exhaustion is a clear sign from God that we must not focus on all those events and not try to figure out what is going to happen, but we have to leave everything in the hands of Our Mother to enable us to keep our strength, peace and positive thoughts and, above all, have enough time to pray. We have to help our Holy Angels who are actually fighting the devils everywhere on earth and in the air ! Only God knows the future and He will only reveal it to us bit by bit and when He thinks that the moment is right to reveal it to us. All those monks, sisters, friars in monasteries etc. they are not focused on all those events, they are constantly focused on Heaven. We would like to follow them, no ? But how weak we are and constantly curious (me included). I also have to admit that I love this forum .
It came to me last night, not in a dream, in extended thought that at some point in the US, a bloody revolution will break out as our government implements martial law and tries to confiscate all home owner guns and ammunition. House by house they will visit with their newly acquired armored vehicle's and AR's and search everyone's home and break people down to give them up. I have little doubt that this will take place, because we already see a totalitarian leadership with his czars doing shake downs now, just in a different arena. I see it coming.
