At Garabandal the first message for the world our Lady warned of a great punishment to come. But this was not at the heart of the message - she emphasised that first we must live good lives - that is before we make sacrifices and do penance - as well as visiting the Blessed Sacrament. In other words we convert, change, become holy & then we will want to make sacrifices and penance as acts of love and reparation & visiting the Blessed Sacrament will become a joy. You must make Many sacrifices, perform much penance and pay many visits to the Blessed Sacrament, but first of all we must lead good lives. If we do not do this, punishment awaits us. Already the cup is filling, and if we do not change we shall be punished. For many years I read over prophecies [which I enjoy doing] and forgot about the priority 'living a good saintly life' - I got the priorities wrong. We must convert while there is still time. This is the message of Lourdes, Fatima, Garabandal, Medjugorje - convert, repent and believe the Gospel - turn away from attachment to all sin & if we can do that by the grace of God in this sinful, secular world we will become saints. And if we become saints we will not fear the future or any chastisement for we will be living in the Will of God.
Yes,Bobby. I find it intersting studying messages, reading about apparitions and the supernatural, but what god is it in studying the messages if we do not live them? We ould end up like a dog chasing its tail and getting nowhere if we chase after message after message without this inner change.
