Our Lady of Medjugorje, Our Queen of Peace is continually asking us to pray for our shepherds. Recently on the Rosary thread Mary Ann gave me a lesson on how to pray for them, which I found helpful. Here's an example. for parish priests Our Lady May 2, 2013 "...My children, my Son gave you a gift of the shepherds. Take good care of them. Pray for them. Thank you." 2. Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee! Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen for bishops Our Lady January 2, 2013 "...My children, pray for the shepherds. May your lips be shut to every judgement, because do not forget that my Son has chosen them and only He has the right to judge. Thank you." 3. Hail Mary, full of grace the Lord is with thee. I will teach you to forgive, to love your enemies and to live according to my Son. Do not be afraid for yourselves. In afflictions my Son does not forget those who love. I will be beside you. I will implore the Heavenly Father for the light of eternal truth and love to illuminate you. Pray for your shepherds so that through your fasting and prayer they can lead you in love." 5. LORD JESUS CHRIST, Eternal High Priest, you offered yourself to the Father on the altar of the Cross and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit gave your priestly people a share in your redeeming sacrifice. Hear our prayer for the sanctification of our priests. Grant that all who are ordained to the ministerial priesthood may be ever more conformed to you, the divine Master. May they preach the Gospel with pure heart and clear conscience. Let them be shepherds according to your own Heart, single- minded in service to you and to the Church and shining examples of a holy,simple and joyful life. Through the prayers of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your Mother and ours,draw all priests and the flocks entrusted to their care to the fullness of eternal life where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. AMEN BENEDICTUS PP. XVI
from a church bulletin The priest - He is another Christ. Respect him; he is God's representative. Trust him; he is your benefactor. Be thankful to him. at the altar- He offers your prayers to God. Do not forget him; he prays for you and yours in purgatory. Ask God's mercy for him. In the confessional He is the physician of your soul. Show him its wounds; he directs you toward God. Follow his admonitions; he is judging. Abide by his decisions. In his daily life- He is human. Do not hastily condemn him; he is human. A word of kindness will cheer him. If you must tell his faults, tell them to God, that He may give him light and strength to correct them.

Thanks Kathy P. + + + Prayer to the Sacred Heart for Priests Sacred Heart of Jesus, Eternal High Priest, let Your love flow into the hearts of your priests and transform them into living images of You. By Your grace, make them true apostles of Your Sacred Heart. I pray for the fulfillment of the promise You made to St. Margaret Mary: "I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts". May Your kingdom come to the hearts of all through the ministry of holy priests! Amen.
