I saw the surgeon briefly after the operation. He said it went well. Good to know that one of us thinks so, and he's the expert. I suppose it's too soon to tell how much difference it made. I can only walk for two or three minutes with the aid of a zimmer frame and can't sit at all but the pain is a lot less severe than before surgery. They will remove the pins from my back later this week and I have an appointment with the surgeon early next month. I suppose I will get physiotherapy after that. The surgeon did tell me that he had done a smaller operation than originally intended because he thought that was sufficient to fix my problem. I'll find out soon enough. God is good.
I’ll keep praying! Thanks for the update. Healing for this type of surgery takes awhile. And we are invoking the Divine Physician.
Thanks Padraig. The biggest lesson I've learned from these past few months is that I need to spend more time thanking God for my blessings. I'm being waited on hand and foot. If that weren't the case, I simply couldn't have managed. Another lesson I learned is that if you have to take the private route for healthcare, don't opt for a private room in the hospital. Privacy is great when you're able to move, not so good when you drop the call button out of reach.
