Condolences, may Martin rest in peace. Sorry for your loss.
We laid Martin to rest today and as the priest read out his legacy I was quickly reminded that Martin did not need my prayers in fact I have asked Martin to pray for us
Devoted husband and father of 5 children 6 grandchildren..
When he was 17 he started work teaching disabled children and worked his way to become principal of a special needs school his work and teaching methods set a bench mark in special needs schools around the world. Whilst talking with my mum she told me that when her father (my grandad) was dying of cancer Martin at the age of 15 would call each night to comfort him and bathe his feet..
Heaven has gained a beautiful soul
Martin Mcglade happy with the children...
Oh John how beautiful. A gift to have been his friend. Maybe he will do some interceding for all of us.
A passing angel for sure sister in times like this it reminds us that the little moment on this earth is a breath. How I wish I could have spent more of my life in his company, this should teach us how important life is, all the rest is loud noise that we should not allow to get in the way, hold close the dear important people in your life and let them know you love them..
So true and beautifully said.
What a saintly soul. Martin's rewards will be great.
I just received a little message from a friend who knew Martin and paid a very loving tribute to him.. Unknown to me Martin like myself liked to sing christy Moore songs around the campfire and his favourite was Bright blue rose, I've sung that myself a few times. Anyway I know Martin didn't need any help to heaven but I know in my heart that my little sister Therese is letting me know that Martin is with her after all the bright blue rose is confirmation and wow that the first she has ever sent me a blue rose
Last line of the song below...
For having left the path of others, you find a very special hand
And it is a holy thing, and it is a precious time
And it is the only way
Forget-me-nots among the snow, it's always been and so it goes
To ponder his death and his life eternally
One bright blue rose outlives all those
Two thousand years and still it goes
To ponder his death and his life eternally.
Oh how beautiful. What a wonderful "post card" from heaven.
Jesus please help Martin
RIP prayers for Martin's soul at St Joseph's Altar
I love this!
