I am on need of prayers please. I am struggling to be at peace. I'm tormented by tje evil one. I'm such a terrible, miserable sinner! O, Lord, how my sins cause Thee such pain and sorrow! Lord, have mercy on me!
You are in my prayers. I have a little suggestion for you that might help. When I am particularly pained by worldly thoughts, I have a small prayer that comes automatically to my lips: Dear God, Please help me with my stress. I suggest finding a small prayer for yourself that is applicable to your pain. In therapy we would call it a "thought stopper", but in God's reality it's the ultimate way to gain peace. You can pray to Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or Mary as well. Find a prayer to stop the evil one in his tracks. He will flee at the sound of Jesus's name or a Hail Mary. You are a gift from God, Pray, pray, pray Kath
Jmj I will pray for you to Our Lady of Lourdes as today is her feastday. My favourite prayer that always helps me find peace is 'Jesus I Trust in You'. I keep saying it over and over and the evil one flees. God Bless you & remember He loves you completely as you are. Mary
JMJ, You have my prayers too... Trust in the Lord and hang in there! These words from Jesus contained in “Serving With Clarity,” a book by Anne, a lay apostle, may help. “I love you. I love you perfectly and completely. My love for you never diminishes, despite any mistakes you may make. I am with you in each moment of your day. In each life there comes difficult moments and sorrowful situations. I am there steadying you. I provide great graces when great graces are needed. Some souls reject me and reject the graces I bring. Do I abandon those souls? Do I take my graces and turn my back? I tell you today, dear friends, I do not. I remain by that soul, giving graces freely despite their rejection. I do this because I long for each to turn to Me. I do this so that every soul, regardless of the darkness they are choosing, has something heavenly with which to compare the darkness. Do you understand? . . . You will never find a person living on earth who has no grace near them. The grace of the Father hovers nearby, always, ready to rush into the soul at the least openness.” (p. 25)
jmj, What can I add after the wise suggestions of the last three posts! I'll lift you up in prayer, espcially to Mary, today! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
JMJ, I'll slide over a bit and make room for you with me...right at the foot of the cross. Once my penance was to go on my knees right before the Tabernacle with arms outstretch and pray "JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU, JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU, JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU. You could try that on for size.
If you knew how much God loved you, JMJ you would die of joy. May something of this joy touch you, but not kill you off just yet. You are in my prayers.
JMJ, For me, the calming prayer is the Prayer of St Francis of Assisi. Whenever I get frustrated or angry at someone or stressed. I say it aloud, sometimes very loudly (well, if I am by myself that is, don't want to startle anyone! LOL) Jesus I Trust in you! is also GREAT! Especially if you are in a situation where you are feeling fear. As an example, I used to know someone who was afraid to drive over bridges. Saying, Jesus, I trust in you! over and over would have been a great thing for her to do when she had to cross them. I wish I would have told her that years ago when I knew her. Hmmm, I wonder why I just thought of that? I will be praying a Divine Mercy Chaplet in about 30 minutes.(3:00) I will offer up the prayers of it for you. Those words are usually printed under the Divine Mercy Picture:
