It seems to vary from patient to patient. That probably depends on age, the person's general health and maybe the viral load. One (vaccinated) described it to me as being like a very bad 'flu. Not the very heavy cold that we usually call the 'flu but worse. Some have all the symptoms (sore throat, aches all over, extreme fatigue, bad headache, etc.) and other only have some of the symptoms. Any of the symptoms can be mild or severe. There doesn't seem to be a one size fits all set of symptoms. I'm referring to the people I know who had Omicron, all of whom are vaccinated.
There were many comments here when Covid first came along that this wasn't anything to worry about. I was very frightened about catching covid as my husband is battling a very aggressive cancer. I pray for all here that they stay well, and if not, I pray for full healing. I won't go into a long explanation for my comment. I'm sorry to have upset so many of you who have become infected. Please accept my sincerest apology.
No apology necessary, Carolyn. I probably was one of those members who did not realize the full extent of the suffering caused by Covid. It’s true that it is different for each case. I will offer my prayers for your husband and your family.
Thank you, HH. With the recoveries that have happened by all on this forum following "stormin' Heaven, your prayers are very much appreciated.
I apolgize and hope I didn’t imply any indifference to your suffering! I wasn’t sure what to expect from Covid. But for me - the covid part was hard - but the pneumonia end is extremely difficult. I will keep you and your family in my prayers!
I don't think any of us realized what a debilitating illness covid could be. For some it is like the flu but for others it complicates. I hope you and your husband are all right. I will surely keep you in my prayers.
