Please pray for my husband's aunt Mary who has is battling cancer for the 2nd time. The treatment for the cancer first time around affected her nerve endings/nervous system which affects her balance. She wanted to go to Medjugorje in thanksgiving for being cured & we booked in January to go with a local parish in July. However, she has been diagnosed with cancer in another area. They cannot give her same treatment as before. She had 1st bout of chemo but has not been able to get anymore as all her blood counts etc were down. She was kept in hospital last week & they had to stop all treatment. She begged to get home for weekend. She is attending the Beatson today. Please pray the doctors are able to start treating her again as she is desperate to go to Medjugorje in 7 weeks time.
Also, her 13 year old grandson has leukaemia, which he has battled for almost 2 years. He is due to get a bone marrow transplant from his sister later this year. Please pray that the whole family have the strength to get through all this too.

Maryrose, would you copy the post about Mary and Scott and take it to Medjugorje with you? Place it right at our Mother's feet.
Some times our prayer requests go right to the bone, this was one of them.
My prayers are with them as well.

My prayers are with her and her family. Pray that she be able to go to Medjugorje and that Jesus heals her at least spiritually. Certainly she needs that, as the doubts are probably taking their toll. I think she should try to go even if she is not receiving treatment...in fact maybe moreso if that is the case. Treating her may inhibit her ability to go more than not being treated...she may be too ill or she may not be able to continue treatment properly while there. Maybe if the doctors think they cannot treat her now, this is her cue to go to Medjugorje, then resume treatment. Between now and then, do some heavy nutritional therapy to strengthen her system. Then after she returns home, perhaps the treatments can begin, perhaps her bloodwork will be better. I don't know why I just wrote all that, it just came flowing out faster than I could type it. I am going to the Medjugorje conference at Notre Dame this weekend, I will also pray for your intentions there. For me it is as close as I will get to Medjugorje this year, I'm afraid.

Thank you Maryrose & everyone for your prayers. Mary has received her second bout of Chemo & is looking well. She was able to attend our weekly Medjugorje prayer meeting last week & she said Scott had come "skipping" in from school that day. Mary should have a further 2 bouts of chemo prior to going to Medjugorje (which is 6 weeks today). Scott has still to go through the bone marrow transplant from his sister which is scheduled for later in year. (They have to get rid of iron from his body first & then he will have to be really low before BMT can be done). Please still keep them in your prayers.

    God bless
    Anne Marie
