Pray for Fr Thomas as he must be suffering after a 'lapse of judgement' resulted in a serious fall - he has sought the forgiveness of God - may he receive the gift of self-forgiveness and also receive the grace and the power of divine mercy through all who pray for him. I don't know it seems to me he should not be leaving the Ministry over this. I don't think a priest having an affaire is the end of the world. There are much, much worse things like say priests and Bishops being ambitious and full of pride, yet I have never heard of a priest or Bishop leaving the Ministry over this, the sin of Satan. He is human and a sinner, which comes as no surprise to me ,someone who is very,very weak and human himself. I really wish he would stay in the priesthood, I think he will be a better humbler more powerful instrument of Christ afterwards. I'm not even sure that what happened to him could be called an affair- more like a strong temptation that he was able to put in check- eventually. The devil works hard to get those that are close to God. He needs our prayers. I don't think his letter indicated that he wanted to leave the priesthood so thats good. It makes me think that Sparky sees him as a real threat. Eradicate the exorcist and then you can really make some head way. I heard him speak at a luncheon and I was fascinated with the talk. He underlined that the demons HATE Latin and they let him know that at every turn.

I am glda Terry, I thought with all the fuss that that is what was happening. It would have been better if al this could have been kept quiet. But then when you are in great public view... I agree that the devil would have taken a direct personal interest in this priest.
Hi All, If anyone has read Malichi Martin's "Hostage to the Devil", they can see how the Exorcists sexuality is always under attack. I think that is why it is so important to have good devout people present at the exorcism, to pray for the exorcists and make sure that he is protected. I'm not sure if Father Euteneur had this in said exorcism. God Bless, mj
