I was very touched by King Abdullah II 's address, where he spoke of Pope Francis as, 'The Consience of the World' and spoke also of the emerging dialogue between Christianity and Islam. Occasions like this make me so proud to be Catholic. It reminds me too not to go into the trenches against Islam where we are getting so much bad news from radicals at the moment. It gives me great hope. I must admit I was surprised at the Hashemite King's appearance, he looked to me just like an Irish Buisnessman. I hope to see Petra before I die.
My peace I leave with you. My peace give you. Not as the world gives, do I give you. Lord, may your peace ever increase until all your children are restored to unity. Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Pope Francis made a private visit on Tuesday to the Rome Basilica of Saint Mary Major with a bouquet of flowers for Our Lady in thanks for the positive outcome of his apostolic visit of the Holy Land, entrusting to Her the fruits of his visit: http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/201..._at_the_basilica_of_saint_mary_major_/1101065
Well , it seems very likely that our Holy Father will be going back to the Holy Land. That gives me hope and makes me feel like we have a little time... I sure was proud of him!
