Have y'all heard of "Adopt a Cardinal?" You get randomly assigned a cardinal to pray and fast for up to and during the conclave. I think it's an excellent idea.

Abe Lincoln was not into the occult. He was a Bible thumper since a kid. His wife was involved in occult practices and she was off her rocker. Even Abe did not like that. Their son wanted her committed to an insane asylum. Perhaps it was menopause or grief from losing their son that put her over the edge. Abe loved quoting the Bible and used scripture in most of his speeches. His favorite song was The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Yes I have heard of Adopt a Cardinal. I was given Cdl Kutwa of the Ivory Coast. The idea is not to pray that they get elected but that they remain in a state of grace and are docile to the Holy Spirit. Every cardinal needs our prayers.

 

Thanks for posting this, I found it to be a good analysis of what is currently happening. I have to laugh at these cardinals who push the line that we must continue to go forward with Pope Francis agenda, as if Cardinals wouldn't know any better. Seems desperate.

 

I am related to Abe Lincoln through his mother, the Hanks. My gg grandfather looked just like him. On my mother’s side. I was able to visit the old Hanks log cabin where his mother was born. My ggg grandfathers first cousin was Nancy Hanks.

The longer it goes on the greater chance someone like Pizzaballa has in becoming Pope. Everyone has their first round, second round, third round, etc... choices. The longer the conclave, the more primary choices for Pope get scratched off.

 

I believe that was how John Paul II was elected.

 

Heavenly Father to obtain the Pope we need, not the one we deserve I offer you all the uncertainty, confusion, insults, disappointments and scandals I had to endure over the last 12 years. I offer all the times I had to bite my tongue so as to not drive away another who was weak in faith. I offer all the times Catholics were called rigid, pharisidical or unloving for standing up for the true, irrevocable deposit of the faith.

I offer all the prayers of the Church over the last 108 years that were in response to the Blessed Mother's requests.

I offer the tears and pleading of my Mother, the Mother of Jesus, for her Immaculate Heart to triumph in the conclave. St Joseph, protector of the Church please intercede.

Most especially I offer the Body, Blood. Soul and Divinity of your dearly beloved son. Look upon us as hidden in the wound of His side, and we beg you to grant us the best possible Pope that will lead the Church.
