The topic is very simple. Of all the possible arrogance, intellectual arrogance is the most dangerous because it comes from a high demonic hierarchy.

Needing to feel like a remnant of the Church is, without a doubt, believing yourself to be special. Demonic temptation comforts these people. He is not the only one, there are thousands of them who are in fact in schism or heresy. Ipso facto excommunicated, since it is a direct attack on the Church.

It is very difficult to get out of that self-centered hole because an exorcism or healing is necessary.

Probably not only is he a demon, but they are legion. They distance him from the sacraments. You cannot receive them because you need a pure priest. That priest has probably fallen into the same trap.

We do not judge people, but we do judge their sins. Not everything goes.

Sometimes these obsessions go further and end up turning into anger for those who do not accept them. Sometimes the devil finds people whom he needs to hurt

Within the Catholic Church, which obeys the Pope, there are all kinds of sinners, but one can be a saint among them. There's no need to create another parallel Church. Holiness is a gift from God to those who love Him and ask for it. We are all called to be Saints. It's not a utopia; it's what's most worthwhile. God transforms us. We don't achieve this on our own. Only Love, the imperative need to love our fellow human beings without missing an opportunity, is what sanctifies us. It is God who lives within us and manifests Himself simply when our ego disappears and humility gives way to our Lord. The path is a battle against ourselves, and it is painful. Can anything good be achieved in this life without effort? That is the cross; it is our offering to the Lord so that something good may come out of evil.

As I reflect on these past posts, there's a verse I keep returning to: “The Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.” (Mark 2:28) It reminds me that while liturgical form matters, it is the Lord Himself who sanctifies the ritual—not the other way around.

Yes, the Mass has structure. Yes, the Church has preserved sacred forms for centuries. But Christ is not bound by rubrics. He is the Lord of the Sabbath. He is the Lord of the Mass. And when we gather in faith, with proper matter, form, and intention, He comes—not because we earned Him, but because He promised.

CCC 1128: “This is the meaning of the Church’s affirmation that the sacraments act ex opere operato—that is, by the very fact of the action being performed, because it is Christ who acts in them.”

The Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo both carry the weight of centuries. Both can be reverent. Both can be abused. But neither can revoke the Lord’s promise: “Do this in memory of me.”

So I honor the form. But I worship the Lord. And I trust that where He is truly invoked, He truly comes.

    Happy Sunday.

Obedience is really central to the Spiritual Life. As Catholics we really, really need to obedient to Rome and not break away from her. As Jesus said,

    Matthew 23:1-4
23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

This reminds me of an old story from the middle ages about two merchants one of whom was Jewish. The Jewish one was planning on becoming a Catholic but scared his friend by telling his Catholic friend that he planned on a visit to Rome. The Catholic was afraid that when the Jewish guy saw the corruption going on in Rome it would put him off becoming Catholic.

However when the Jew came back from Rome he was more keen on turning Catholic than ever. His Catholic friend was amazed that the corruption and wickedness had not turned his friend off and asked him way?

Well the Jewish guy replied, if the Church could survive this long with such evil it must be off God!

Actually I am reading a book on the life of St Bridget of Sweden at the moment. She certainly did not hold her punches about the Pope and the wicked goings on in the Church around her. But she always remained Faithful and obedient. A good model to follow.

Let a man fear, above all, me, his God, and so much the gentler will he become toward my creatures and animals, on whom, on account of me, their Creator, he ought to have compassion.

Hi all I am extremely busy and actually not finding the time now to be as active as I could be on forum posts I've enough to do with keeping this site live and safe, I am receiving multiple complaints and reports in relation to this thread, I most certainly do not want to or have the time to sit down and read all off the content posted here, I can see most of the content is posted by long standing members, that said could I ask for calm heads and also to reign it in a bit some members are at different levels of spirituality, so ask this first am I in the right position to post something that is 100% accurate and is there any possibility what I might post may be detrimental to someone's soul or offensive ???

Please take some time to reflect, St Carlos intercede for us.

I really really do not want to hit the ban button at all or in the near future but if I have to I most certainly will.

    God Bless John.

Fr. Chris Alar discusses the main differences between the Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo mass.

The second part of this episode presents the Troops of Saint George (a Catholic alternative to the Boy Scouts, with fathers and sons participating).

Here’s a short video about the Troops of Saint George: Virtus Honor Fraternitas
