I also noticed the "climate justice." There's a foreboding ring to it.

Let me wrap my head around this- the climate can demand justice meaning wealthy nations should be held accountable for committing the heinous crime of "contributing to the climate crisis, however there is no such thing as justice, holding accountable an individual for committing oh, I don't know, premeditated murder or some other act. To use a silly expression being said these days, make it make sense!

The ice cube felt so touched, it melted away. Here is Monty Python's take on crackpot religions:

I read that the Pope's intervention on the Cupich scandal was his first public statement on the issue of abortion. The mainstream media have picked the story up quickly as usual saying he sided with a pro-abortion politician.

Pope Leo should know by now that his words scandalised a lot of Catholics and pro-life people and made another public statement to retract or clarify his position.

He then proceeded to bless an ice cube in the name of climate justice the day after his remarks. What about justice for the unborn?

Why no voice for the unborn after over 100 days on the chair of Peter? Why is he silent on this issue?

A thought sprung into my mind last night which I must pray about. I wonder if the Katcheon, The Restrainer has been lifted?

    2 Thessalonians 2:6-7

6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. 7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

I wonder if the Restrainer is St Michael the Arcangel the Protector of the Church? I must pray and think about this.

There is no comparison between the murder of an innocent and vulnerable human being and the state execution of a person guilty of capital murder. These are the kind of comparisons given by intellectually lazy people with an agenda to minimize the crime of abortion. It's sad that we are back where we finished with PF.

It's the invention if you will of Cardinal Bernadine of unhappy memory. The most false of all false comparisons. May God have mercy on all who buy into such pernicious errors. And may He have mercy on me that I remember to love my enemies and to pray for them.

Pope Leo should re-read his beloved Vatican II, which explicitly warns that a Pope should not misuse his authority involving himself in matters in which he has no expertise (in other words, any issue that does not involve Catholic Faith and Morals).

As he is not a climatologist, his involvement in “Climate Justice”, whatever such a vague concept means (if anything), carries no more real weight than would my own, for example.

A block of ice is quite suggestive of the image of a ship splitting in half before sinking.(n)

This term, “Climate Justice”, as Jason Fernando points out, seems to have been extrapolated from that other sinister phrase, “Social Justice”. We ought not forget that these adjectives qualify the word ‘Justice’ and alter its meaning, opening the way to subversion and inversion of the word. God has revealed His Justice to us, adjective-free.

As for Pope Leo, blessing a block of ice, I can’t refrain from jesting that he might, in Justice (no adjective), need a lot of those where he could go if he maintains his present course!
