I agree. I am totally willing to accept that the Pope did not say this. But then the faithful are owed a clarification by the Vatican. And just saying "Those were not the Pope's exact words..." is not enough.
'The Vatican press office's Cristina Ravenda told LifeSiteNews, "The Vatican does not comment on private conversations of the Pope."' Really ; I mean really? They're just going to let this sit out there unchallenged? 'No comment'..and that's all she wrote? Really? Astounding. Totally astounding. Why do they not comment? This is probably the single biggest scandal in the entire history of the Church. A Pontiff saying sexual perversion is fine. It makes the Borgia Pope look like a choir boy. "No Comment'. All they had to do was say it was bunkum and they just won't do it. What else can we imply from this but that it is true? Wow!!! https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/...pope-francis-just-tell-the-lie-of-the-century
I just don't buy it. I suspect that there is much more at play here than we can possibly know. The Papacy is political in many respects. My suspicion, is that the Pope is being controlled very closely and if he steps out of line with whoever is handling him and the message deemed appropriate to the world he will be quite quickly brought back in line.
Don, I love you and we usually walk in lock step on our opinions, but there is NO evidence whatsoever that this pope is being controlled. However there is plentiful evidence that he is one of the controllers of this agenda.
Yes exactly. Pope Francis is in a tight corner. If he tried to deny it he would be stepping on a victims head again, calling him a liar. A real, real tight corner. Either way he calls it he is up to his neck in it. On the other hand if he does not call the guy a liar he will have the Cardinals and Bishops to answer too, most of them I am sure totally outraged. "'No comment', just won't fix things. He's in a real deep hole this time. That mouth of his has really buried him big time for sure. I can't say I'm sorry; he had it coming. Very easily the most atrocious Pope in history. The Lights will burn late in the Vatican tonight. Not much wriggle room here.
Did somebody predict he was about to have a bad month of May? How fitting if he bites the dust during Our Lady's month given that he did ask us to say a daily Three Hail Mary's for him at the beginning of his pontificate, if I recall correctly.
Well I won't be too nasty, be I for one won't be sorry to see the back of him. The very best I can think to say of him is that he is a total clown. Thank God he has been muttering about retiring. But I must remember to pray for him.
My hope for Pope Francis' dust-biting would be that he would see the error of his ways, row back his wrong turns and get the taste of sackcloth and ashes.
The muttering was aimed at the Chilean bishops. The bit about him also being a bishop was his usual "look at how humble I am" act. He won't retire while Pope Benedict is alive and even if Pope Benedict were to die tomorrow (God forbid) he still won't retire. He came into the papacy with an agenda hatched during the papacy of St. John Paul and has every intention of seeing that agenda implemented. Given the lack of respect he and the St. Gallen group had for the Holy Spirit, I think it very likely that he will do everything possible to make sure someone of his choice will succeed him. He has already named 14 new Cardinals to be appointed later this month. Two of them are Jesuits and nearly all are cut from the same cloth as Pope Francis. I'm reminded of what that Cardinal (can't recall whether it was Bernadin or McCarrick) said shortly after his election. Pretending that the election of Pope Francis came out of the blue, he couldn't contain his glee. If ever we needed an example of how the election of Pope Francis had everything to do with the heretical modernist agenda and nothing to do with the Holy Spirit, that Cardinal's talk was it. They had even counted the number of Bishops he would choose. He's going nowhere, and even if there are enough faithful bishops left to be concerned about this dismantling of the Deposit of Faith, there aren't enough of them with the bottle to do something about it.
I believe that this whole episode is part of Satan's war on the church...especially to malign the Vicar of Christ. It is to sow division, confusion and subversion. Everything has been misconstrued, the Popes words have been taken out of context time and time again. I ask you a question...did Pope Francis lie when he purportedly told this man this? Is God not the potter maker? Ask ourselves...what sins are ours?. Does this mean that God could not have created us as we are...but our sins are ours! Humility...not righteous indignation and contempt. I tell you that Jesus Christ meets us where ever we are...always ready to forgive. Jesus Christ Lord of Lords, King of the Universe...who is like unto thee and who can know your inscrutable ways!
Yes, indeed, Pope Francis lied when he told this man that “God made him gay.” God doesn’t make anyone gay. Same sex attraction disorder is a matter of arrested psychosocial development or the result of sexual abuse for the vast majority of its sufferers, while an unknown small minority actually choose it. The tendency to alcoholism is genetic but no one is born an alcoholic. The tendency to effeminacy may be partially genetic, but NO ONE is born gay. And enough with this credulous nonsense about this pope being misinterpreted or taken out of context. That dog won’t hunt any more.
I thought being born predisposed you genetically to certain attributes. This is why the child will favor one or the other parents. God is the potter maker...right? If a child is more effeminate or masculine...did God not direct this? And if God did Will this...why do you call it evil? Homosexuality...if one acts on this inclination... then it is sinful...but it is not sinful to be predisposed to homosexuality.
The pope didn’t use the word “homosexuality.” He has sunken to using the LGTB lobby’s phrase “gay.” Gay implies an acceptance of and acting upon same sex attraction disorder. It is the farthest thing imaginable to a Catholic, afficted by an unwanted same sex attraction disorder, choosing to live a chaste life in line with the Gospel. Not to mention the obvious: he WAS NOT born “gay” but became so at the hands of a sexually abusing homosexual and as a direct result of pederasty!
And as long as we’re having this conversation: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/cardinal-homophobia-a-made-up-concept-against-reality Cardinal Müller: Accusation of ‘homophobia’ is an instrument of ‘totalitarian dominance’ Maike Hickson Cardinal Gerhard Müller, prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith May 18, 2018 (OnePeterFive) – Cardinal Gerhard Müller, the former Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, has given an interview to the Italian journalist Costanza Miriano, who works for the Italian television broadcaster RIA. In this new interview, the German cardinal rejects the notion of "homophobia" and explains that it is an instrument of an ideology that is contrary to reality. Miriano posted the interview on her own private blog, on which she also promotes two books of hers in which she advocates the traditional understanding of marriage – namely, that wives be subject to their husbands and that husbands protect their wives even with their lives. In her own introduction to the new interview, she rejects the notion of "homophobia" – i.e., an aversion against homosexuals. According to Giuseppe Nardi of Katholisches.info – who himself reports on this new interview – the aim of much of this gender ideology is to remove homosexuality, and more recently transsexuality, from the World Health Organization (WHO) catalog of diseases. (In fact, homosexuality was already removed from the catalog in 1990, demonstrating the effectiveness of such a strategy.) Miriano's interview with Cardinal Müller comes in the context of his upcoming participation in the presentation of a book about a man who has homosexual inclinations but who resists them, and now describes the ideologization of this problem. The author’s name is Daniel C. Mattson, and his book’s title is Why I Don’t Call Myself Gay: How I Reclaimed My Sexual Reality and Found Peace. (The book was first published in English by Ignatius Press, in 2017, with a preface by Cardinal Robert Sarah.) Cardinal Müller will present the Italian edition on 25 May in Rome. In his interview with Mrs. Miriano, herself a mother of four, Cardinal Müller says the following about the concept of homophobia, in the context of the 17 May International Day Against Homophobia: Homophobia simply does not exist. It is clearly an invention and an instrument of the totalitarian dominance over the thoughts of others. The homo-movement is lacking scientific arguments, that is why it created an ideology which wants to dominate by creating its own reality. It is the Marxist pattern according to which reality does not create thinking, but thinking creates its own reality. He who does not accept this created reality is to be considered as being sick. It is as if one could influence an illness with the help of the police or with the help of courts. In the Soviet Union, Christians were put into psychiatric clinics. These are the methods of totalitarian regimes, of National Socialism and of Communism. The same happens in North Korea to those who do not accept the reigning way of thinking. Demand Providence College condemn gay rape threats against pro-family student. Sign the petition here! Costanza Miriano points out that she knows of several bishops who are more conservative, but who at the same time support such initiatives against homophobia, and she asks Cardinal Müller why they accept this "game." Cardinal Müller responds: Some bishops today do not have the courage anymore to speak the truth, and they allow themselves to be intimidated. They do not understand that homophobia is a deception which serves to threaten people. But we Christians may not have fear in the face of threats. In the first centuries [after Christ], the disciples of Jesus were put into prison, or one had them eaten up by wild beasts. Today one tears them apart with the help of psycho terror, while at the same time making use of the lack of knowledge. However, from a bishop and from a priest, one may expect that he is capable of looking behind these ideologies. We are the ones who try, with the help of God's Grace, to love all people, also those who feel attracted to the same sex. But it must be clear that to love does not mean to obey the gender propaganda. With reference to Daniel C. Mattson, the author of the new book, Cardinal Müller says that he tells his own story of his homosexuality in light of these current ideologies and that he rejects being called "gay." The cardinal insists that "he who feels such an attraction has to live chastely, just as all, all of us who are not live in a valid and true marriage have to do." When asked about the fact that currently this gender agenda is being promoted by many governments in the West, the German cardinal responds, saying that "our politicians in Europe have to take care of many people, of those without work, of the problem of the lack of births, of the family, of many serious problems." Instead, he adds, "they are busy turning our democracies into totalitarian systems. Ideology in itself is violent." "How can a parliament decide what is true and what not?" asks Müller. With regard to the current attempts at undermining the teaching on contraception as laid out in Humanae Vitae, the cardinal says that he explains this phenomenon "with the secularization of the Church." "For some shepherds, the Church is only a means in order to make politics, in order to please people," he adds. "For them, it is more important to respect the masses, rather than to respect the Word of God." Published with permission from One Peter Five.
