I have been viscerally sick, since this was adopted, because I know it's just the start. Look at the UK...meanwhile, in the U.K., the clergy now has to repent of using language like Husband and Wife... Its the teaspoon effect, first a blessing, and eventually we loose the sacrament of marriage, because it is hurtful...

UK Methodist Church Calls on Ministers 'to Repent of Any Hurtful Language' like 'Husband' and 'Wife' (msn.com)

The Methodist Church in the United Kingdom has released its own "Inclusive Church Language Guide" in which parishioners are urged to avoid certain words on the basis that their usage makes "assumptions" about one's family life.

Sister Lucia of Fatima warned us the devil’s final assault would be on MARRIAGE and the family.
    :(

    This is so sad.

I wouldn’t worry too much about what the Methodist church does in the UK as its numbers are declining. Conversely, where I live they are quite active but I’ve never heard any woke nonsense from those that I know. They seem quite sensible and we all get along.

Same. I was crushed. My own Bishop's initial response to the document was extremely disappointing. Silence from my pastor. :( I think the fact that the Vatican chose to release the document on Christmas week revealed their true intentions. It caused an explosion, and honestly felt like a planned attack. Look at the misery and confusion left in it's wake. So now the stage has been set for an unavoidable show down.

The Irish Bishops are totally silent also no priest has spoken out. Does this indicate that they are just going to go along with everything. They completely went along with the covid narrative and still question nothing. I thought surely one Bishop at least would say something.
I have been reading Archbishop George Ganswein's book on his life beside Benedict XVI over Christmas. He really has nothing negative to say about Francis. It seems that he was very respectful to Benedict according to Ganswein. He dismisses theories on the forced resignation. It's hard to know who to believe. If Benedict wished to give a message to the world surely Ganswein would be the one to known.

My bishop is probably the most traditional and orthodox in Ireland. He hasn't said anything about this document publicly but I have read a message he shared on a WhatsApp group and he fully supports the document, calling it beautiful and fully in keeping with Catholic tradition

    The rot is deep.

Do these prelates pray the rosary?

It is like the blind leading the blind.

It was funny I asked my Pastor what might happen next and he rolled his eyes and waved his arms in the air and cried out,
    'Who knows?''

He's right who indeed knows? But I had to laugh.

I feel so very, very sorry for poor Cardinal Burke. He was evicted from his appartment , lost his pension and now Papa Frankie had him for a lengthy cussing out session (Frankie is well known for his rants and foul language).

Poor Cardinal Burke, prayers. What's next? Ordering the Swiss Guard to shoot him?

A lot of what was going on with poor Benedict is a big, big mystery. I suppose we will have to wait and read the history books in years to come. But the fact that when he was elected he asked people to pray that he would not, 'Flee from the wolves', tells us much.

I read just last night that when Pope St John Paul was visiting Germany and had talked about Fatima and the Third Secret a German lady asked him why he didn't act to purify the Church he replied,

    'I can't , I haven't the power!'

This makes me much , much more sympathetic to Pope Benedict retiring. You can't drive a car if their is no fuel in it.

I had two very bad nightmares last night. In one I was standing in cold water in a sea of maggots, had mud thrown all over me and then was attacked by a swarm of small flies. In addition my front door bell rang in the middle of the night waking me up and there was no one there.

It is afternoon and I am going back to bed exhausted.

The devil is very, very, very powerful at the moment as many exorcists have warned us. But thank God I do not live in the Vatican it must be a horror picture living there at the moment.

Poor Cardinal Burke being dragged in to be cursed and hollered at by Papa Frankie. Yuk!.

(Although if it had been me I would attach my knuckles with great force to the end of his wicked nose to straighten him out a little.):):)

Thank God for the Rosary. My rosaries are pretty well carrying me on their backs at the moment.

Thank God for the rosary for keeping me sane.

I think I know the Bishop you are referring to. I am shocked. How can it be in keeping with Catholic tradition to bless a couple in a sinful union. Recently when in Knock I asked a priest, who told me that the world has changed, how will it end for 'gay' couples who are blessed by the church. Will they get to Heaven living that life. He couldn't answer me.
The church in Ireland is filled with people and clergy who accept compromise. If that Bishop thinks it is a beautiful document then we are doomed. I am thinking of Fr Seán Sheehy in Kerry who was cancelled by the Bishop because he advised those in sinful lifestyles to repent and go to confession.
We need a Jonah. God help us all.

I woke up to this local news which I guess is now international news because it is so horrific. As I read it, I thought this man had to be under some sort of attack. It’s such a sad event as we live in a very close knit community here. My prayers for his family and for his soul that perhaps there is forgiveness for his sin. Prayers.

I was wondering when the bishop or our priests would speak out on FS. Still nothing from the bishop. Our priest let us know exactly where he stands during the homily. He didn't mention FS but stated he looks forward to blessing unusual responsible families.
It wasn't a big surprise because I suspected he leaned this way.
I'm still processing what I heard.
