One mystic comments; that at the end the soul of King Henry the viii, was saved for he repented, whereas the soul of his daughter, Queen Elizabeth 1 , the product of an adulteress , 'marriage', was sent to hell; for she remained obdurate to the last. From my own prayer I do believe this to be quite true. God is Merciful; but He is not Mocked. We must look to Cardinal, St John Fisher and the Great layman St Thomas More in days even darker than theirs.
I don’t disagree with you here, by the way. In the end, this must happen, and essentially that’s what Bishop Anathasius Schneider said over lunch a while back. But this is only because of the inaction and silence of men. We’re supposed to pray as if everything depended on God but act as if everything depended on us - or something like that? These men have a duty in the eyes of God and this bishop is calling them to faithfully fulfill it. There’s nothing whatsoever wrong with him doing that. In fact it’s commendable - even if in our hearts we understand it will fall on deaf ears.
I wonder what else the Poe is gonna "Take-Back" ... Eh!!? Pope admits he made 'grave errors' in Chile sex abuse scandal" http://www.azfamily.com/story/37934084/pope-admits-he-made-grave-errors-in-chile-sex-abuse-scandal GOD SAVE ALL HERE!!
This is something that literally threatened his papacy, even among his supporters among the liberal elites, so he had to take it back to recover his standing among them. He doesn’t have to take back anything else unfortunately to maintain his standing among his fan base.
I wish that something could be done and perhaps by some miracle it will be, but it seems to me that the Church Militant is now just a small ragtag force left trying to hold the line against the "church Modernist" which is trying to overwhelm, destroy and replace it. To a large extent in Blitzkrieg fashion they are seemingly succeeding. I think all we can do is perform a holding action until Our Lady arrives with reinforcements.
An exhortation containing not so very veiled attacks on Cardinal Sarah and other faithful Catholics along with undermining Catholic teaching on abortion got him and easy ride from the press. https://www.catholicworldreport.com...takes-aim-in-gaudete-et-exsultate-and-misses/ Anyone else would have been castigated for this statement considering the Cardinal he appointed to clean up the Church's handling of sex abuse cases personally handed him letter from one of the victims: "As for my own responsibility, I acknowledge, and I want you to faithfully convey it that way, that I have made serious mistakes in the assessment and perception of the situation, especially because of the lack of truthful and balanced information." He's a man in a hurry. He has had his friends in Latin America call for a Synod on the role of women in the Church. Some people will be gullible enough to believe that this coming on foot of Cardinal Schonborn's extraordinary statement about women's ordination is mere coincidence.
I see Cardinal Sarah has spoken out , very firmly, very directly; the natives are getting very restless. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/c...she-thinks-migration-is-her-real-mission-card
A very interesting commentary on the Fatima Prophecy; This article suggests Pope Francis may in the future be deposed ; but I would suggest a clearer and more direct interpretation may be that he will be killed. ‘Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command, they will follow him into misfortune. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.’ And again later: ‘They did not wish to heed My request! ... Like the King of France they will repent of it, and they will do it, but it will be late. Russia will have already spread its errors in the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer.’ https://remnantnewspaper.com/web/in...m/2893-fatima-2017-on-popes-and-kings-deposed
The King of France was derelict in carrying out the mandate of Heaven and as a result he was deposed, jailed and then killed. So I suppose one could see several different possibilities as to the meaning of this warning. Of course it depends how close this correlation with the Pope is to the King of France. It could be spot on, in which case we might see all three events repeated or it might just be a general allusion with some vague similarities. One important thing to remember is that the King of France was the valid ruler of France. So this prophecy would seem to refer to a valid Pope being deposed/jailed/killed. I don't see that Our Lord would have given a dire warning that an anti-pope would be deposed. After all wouldn't that be a good thing? KingLouis XVI was a very poor governor of France and he bumbled his way into the French revolution. It need not have happened. Also interestingly he was deposed for treason. A true Pope cannot be deposed for he cannot be judged by any man. He might be deposed in the eyes of men, but it would be invalid. Another important thing to note. It is the deposition of the legitimate King that leads to the following revolution and catastrophes for France because men have turned the order of things upside down. Lots to think about here...
One of the problems is ; if you did depose a Pope it might start a precident and then where would it end?
Well it is a sticky wicket. That is why I leave such things up to the Church hierarchy to decide. Church teachings on this issue are some of the hairiest I have ever read. Plus one must keep in mind that Vatican I strongly defined the primacy of the Pope in a way it hadn't been up until that point. Some of the arguments that I have seen bandied about on the net for how Pope Francis might be "deposed" are no longer valid because of Vatican I. Up until the issue was officially defined at that council people were free to hold to these positions, but after Vatican I they no longer were. Many are unaware of this. I only found this out in the last couple of weeks.
Dolours, Thank you for posting this. I still need to read it more carefully. Yesterday, I made a similar connection regarding Cardinal Sarah after I read Robert Royal's article about the pope's new exhortation. It's sad to read this confirmation of my suspicions. Padraig, I think that this article is from last year - April 2017 but it is still very relevant today. It seems that with this new exhortation that the Pope is clarifying his opposition to Cardinal Sarah's views, idk. I suppose that the world is dealing with the same issues that it was dealing with last year, they're just at a more heightened level at the moment imho.
Yes its a maze I don't want to enter. I am very, very happy to leave it to the Cardinals and Bishops. It would make you dizzy even thinking about it.
CD, I think that the accusers are not going to be satisfied until Barros is removed from his position and rightfully so imho. Iow, the Pope has admitted to 'grave errors' but he needs to take action.
Some one asked the bishop if he wrote it. j kow says: April 11, 2018 at 4:28 pm Who wrote the article please? If it was you Bishop, why the ” N de plume” ? abyssum says: April 12, 2018 at 10:43 am j kow, It was not me. The author has legitimate reasons for wishing to remain anonymous.
Perhaps you could tell me why you would think the Bishop would sign the article at the end with N de plume if it was he that wrote it and he posted it on his own site?
