I have to say that yesterday's news about the Pope's upcoming consecration also made me immediately think of the Locutions to the World messages ... I admit that I was among those who had put them on the back burner because of the 'long conclave' - in fact when asked by a friend for my opinion, I considered that LTW 'non supernaturaliter' because of this. However, on closer inspection, I realized that the words 'long conclave' were just an editorial heading and not integral to the locutions as such. Once I bracketed out 'long conclave' and re-read the messages, the red flag disappeared. After that I was struck at how perceptive the description of the spiritual dynamics of the conclave was in the light of various cardinals' remarks, not least Cardinal Mahony's remarkable blog entry about the surprisingly direct role of the Holy Spirit in guiding his vote. And by Pope Francis's immediate expressions of devotion to Mary, of course. My friend and I concurred that his attitude to Fatima would be the acid test ... and now this. We'll see about Russia ... If LTW is authenticated (still an 'if', but the balance of the scales is certainly shifting very rapidly in these locutions' favour) then the implications are considerable. This would affirm that Heaven is commenting directly, making use of new technology, on world events before and as they happen (suggesting that their gravity is too great for humans to be left without explicit guidance at this time). But it would also be extremely sobering because of the contents of the messages, especially on the subject of military conflict ahead. A time for serious prayer and fasting if ever there was one ...
Do you not think that we were all waiting for a marian pope Peter and that this news wasn't really news at all?
Perhaps people here were waiting for a strongly Marian Pope ... but that certainly wasn't a prime emphasis among 'vaticanistas' prior to and during the Conclave. Most of the talk among Vatican commentators was about reform of the State Secretariat, Vatileaks, abuse scandals, a power struggle between the Curial block and the developing nations etc. etc. It even seems that a lot of the pre-Conclave discussions among the College of Cardinals focused on these topics. Not that they're unimportant. Far from it. But what is striking (not conclusive, but striking) is that LTW directly suggested that Fatima would be a high and immediate priority of the new Pope. That's not just a vague comment, but something very specific. That he should set up this consecration in the first months of his Papacy was not a given by any means, so this latest move does jump out at the reader ... Just my subjective impresssion, of course.
I hear what you are saying Peter. When Benedict announced 6 new cardinals, and everyone was surprised, I remember thinking, he is ensuring there are like minded people in office etc.. I wonder why.. Something is going down here.. Then when he announced he was leaving, I felt very strongly that he had indeed completed his mission of steering the ship through some very rocky waters. I felt that this new pope whoever he was would announce the 5th dogma at some point. Might not be soon, but I felt it would be done during his papacy. We all needed a pope that would be able to shine out even in the midst of all the abuse. Also, if you look at all the Fatima prophecies and the prophecies of old and you get a sense of the times you are living in, then things begin to take on a pattern of thought which doesn't really require any great gift. Just being able to read the sign of the times etc.. I also think that as one prayers, they become so much aware of what is going on. This is a fruit of prayer. I was fully expecting a wonderful pope to spring forward and even I got a surprise at this man. He doesn't stand up in the light of all the abuse. He kneels.. He is the way to go, in the footsteps of Christ. This is the face of the Church that had it of been ever present would never have run into all the difficulties and trials that it has now. We are all (lay people as well) responsible for that. A gentle voice crying out speaks far louder than a crashing crescendo. Sorry, I have gone on,
I must admit I thought of LTTW when I read of this consecration. Could the consecration of Russia be next??? Are either of these the great grace for the church written by Mark Mallett? whatever that is is supposed to be a "game changer". I also noted right away, as some others did, that this consecration will happen on the same day that this forum's consecration to Mary will take place
I must say that, if Pope Francis does make the consecration of Russia, then it will be difficult not to conclude that LTW has to be taken very seriously indeed. There are a couple of factors here that have persuaded me to reverse my previously negative opinion. One is what you could call the 'MDM factor'. Given that it now seems clear to a lot of people whose discernment I trust that MDM's messages are doing active harm, it is hard to believe that God would have left us without a true prophetic witness on the same subjects. Or, put another way, knowing something of His Enemy's reliance on forgery ... it would make eminent sense if, knowing that God was speaking through LTW, Satan would immediately set up a parallel, counterfeit locution. The question I find myself asking is: 'is it mere coincidence that the start of the MDM messages and that of the public phase of LTTW occurred within a few weeks of each other'? The second thing is that, given that the LTTW locutions are given via a known priest but coming from an anonymous individual under his direction, the key tool for their discernment has to be their predictive power. We can't look for confirmation from external phenomena connected with the locutionary (e.g. stigmata, weeping statues as in Akita or oil from icons as in Soufanieh) because we don't know that person's identity. So eyes have to be kept open for any fulfillment of the LTTW messages, as the predictions are very specific (and in many cases highly counter-intuitive). What some readers may not realize is that the idea of a Pope whose prioritization of Fatima will have a crucial impact on world history is there right at the outset of the locutions in December 2010, i.e. at a time when nobody was talking about the possible resignation of Benedict XVI. So it isn't just a case of some pious soul reading the newspapers and then extrapolating from them in his/her private meditations. Which makes me sit up and take notice. The jury's still out on LTTW, but I can hear them marching towards the courtroom to give their verdict pretty soon ...
I sometimes wonder if the conditions in the world will have to be so bad as to put a little fear into some of these Bishops in oder to do the consecration in union with the Pope. I know at the Latin Mass I attend, the old priest that celebrates it most of the time, always ends the Mass and leads us in prayer,..for the consecration of Russia,..so apparently there are still many who believe it was not done properly. I think Peter makes a good point about LTTW,..I will keep my ears perked up to hear what else is being said
Maybe a YEAR OF FATIMA after the Year of Faith http://www.locutions.org/2011/12/the-pope-must-lead-the-church-to-fatima/
HOLY MOLY----I did NOT see that one! Or I forgot. Wow-zer!! NOW I'M EXCITED!!! I THOUGHT i had seen something like that but was looking in the latest messages, not the older ones...THANKS FOR THAT!
Maybe I am a bit confused but did we not already have a great marian pope in Pope John Paul II, I am sitting on the shelf watching Pope francis and feel its far too early to suggest what he will or wont do, remember we have all been warned so may times about sheep in wolves clothing..
Yes we did already have a Marian Pope. John Paul was our Blessed Mother's little boy. Benedict was lovely too, he steered the Church through horrendous times. This pope's humility shines out.. I still find it difficult to believe that people actually believe that the anti pope will come up through the ranks. Satan sitting himself on the throne of The Church will be governments taking over our laws and doing away with The Mass. Jesus said (and he doesn't tell lies) "The gates of Hell will never prevail against it." The smoke of satan is already in the temple. Our adoption agencies have been shut down, they are trying to interfere with the secrecy of confession etc.. They are trying to insist that Catholic schools take non catholic schools (that started here almost 20 years ago) those who refused had their budget cut by the Government. Our true pope may have to go into hiding, but it will be at satan's instigation through whoever is in power at that time. These are my thoughts and what is in my heart.
Yes, John Paul II was a Marian pope par excellence! Did you know that when he visited South America early on in his pontificate, Jorge Bergoglio was present as the Holy Father led in the praying of the Rosary. That time of prayer revolutionized Jorge's relationship with Mary and he has remained close to her ever since. The day after his election, Pope Francis visited St. Mary Major in Rome and presented a bouquet of flowers to Mary, entrusting his new diocese to her. The upcoming consecration of Pope Francis' pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima demonstrates once more his obvious trust in her. Let's rejoice in that! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
I will say this only as a counter argument, theoretically. Kind of like a theoretical "devil's advocate" position taken during a cause for someone. Because I certainly don't know what to ascribe to when it comes to these various, current day prophets, so I don't ascribe to any at the moment: Remember, it may not be impossible for the chair to be "seemingly" usurped. It may not be impossible that the true pope is already in hiding. I know the scripture reference "the gates of Hades will not prevail against it". But the pronoun "it" referes to the "Church" in that sentence, not specifically to the "chair" of Peter. If one assumes that "an apparent usurping of the chair of Peter" by satan amounts to the "gates of Hades prevailing against the Church", then that is one position to hold. The counter-argument would be that such an apparent event could occur, but would not, in the end, result in "the gates of hades prevailing" (i.e. winning the war), but would, in a sense, just amount to part of the crucifixion of the Church and its passion, just prior to its victory over satan and evil forever. I find it interesting too, as Peter pointed out, that MDM and LTW both began at the same time. But it is dangerous to assume one is going to be true, and one is false. LTW has already had prophecy that was incorrect. And many who have studied MDM say the same (or they at least object strongly to the position roughly stated above, and maybe they are right). Therefore, both prophets could be false.
The two patricks said it was Benedict that was false. Jon, I hear what you are saying. We would soon know if he was false. But my heart says and I can already see it happening etc.. patterns are easy to spot.. that it will be the government sitting itself on the throne of Peter (in the name of peace) and refusing the Holy Mass to be celebrated. But we shall continue on in our homes..
I know. It sure seems that any deviation from the true presence, or the proper consecration, would be very, very obvious to all who believe in the true presence as the source and summit of our faith. And Jesus warned about that "desolating sacrilege" (like Daniel's "abomination of desolation" that stops the "sacrifice" and "makes desolate" the tabernacle..) Many evangelicals are waiting for the temple to be rebuilt, consecrated with red hefers, and a resumption of animal sacrifice, only to be stopped by the antichrist........... I think we all know better......
I actually read all about this last night in the book by Malachi Martin: The Keys of this Blood-- It is INCREDIBLE AND ASTOUNDING that he wrote this 18 years ago! There is about 8 pages of unveiling of what 'might happen' WHICH IS HAPPENING....AND when reading the last pages of the book--I literally felt that it was POPE FRANCIS sitting in that chair talking to the Cardinals--its amazing! Here is a link to a PDF of one page of the book--http://pdf.amazingdiscoveries.org/References/RtR/PDF-909/The keys of this Blood.pdf The book is highly recommended--BY ME...LOL AND its available online as an ebook FOR FREE! Start at page 679 and read until the end to understand. The 'future Pope' is called Valeska. http://www.gobookee.com/keys-to-this-blood-by-malachi-martin/
There is a desperate plea and prayer made by the Greek warrior Ajax, forced to fight superior odds on a darkened plain: Father in Heaven, Deliver us from this darkness. And make our skies clear. If we must die, Let us die in the Light.
