What is the basis for your hope? I would hope so, but I haven’t seen anything yet to provide much reason to think so.
That and also, if it is worthy of belief, Fr Michel Rodrigue's "warning" that he was planning no travel beyond Feb 2020 and advising everyone to get to confession ASAP.
There are two reasons . Firstly the sudden and explicable resignation of Cardinal Marx from the German Bishops conference: https://cruxnow.com/church-in-europe/2020/02/cardinal-marx-to-step-down-as-head-of-german-bishops/ Secondly the Holy Fathers apparent about turn around on an end to celibacy the Amazon Synod. I may be wrong; often telling what is going on in the Vatican is like reading tea leaves.
I wasn't entirely convinced either but it does seem he was onto something in this regard at least. As my father used to say, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
There has been speculation that Cardinal Marx is being lined up as Cardinal Pell's replacement in Rome. I'm not sure, but I have a vague memory of seeing something about enchanced career prospects for the Jesuit guru behind Germany's synodal path. All speculation of course, and these days memories of my childhood are clearer than memories of what I did, saw, read or heard more recently.
Pope Francis Cancels Audiences for 3rd Day Over Apparent Cold https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ls-audiences-for-third-day-with-apparent-cold
Oh dear. Mother Mary with the golden chain of the Holy Rosary bind him to your Immaculate Heart and take care of him.
I am praying for Pope Francis; that he has changes of heart and mind, and publically disavows recent actions and statements. Comes back to right thinking/believing.
Edit to add: This appears to be fake news. https://mcmnt.com/vatican-confirms-pope-francis-and-two-aides-test-positive-for-coronavirus/
what i don't understand is if he canceled appointments but still receives people at Saint Martha's House , none of his advisers considered the possibility of the Coronavirus, as there is still a free movement of people near him.
