Please pray that I'll spread the Divine Mercy devotion

    I have a sense that I should actively spread the Divine Mercy message and devotion, which will probably come into the spotlight as JPII is beatified this Divine Mercy Sunday.

    I've said the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily at 3 PM, with few exceptions, for nearly a year. A coworker and I say it together at 3 PM when we can in the office, in any conference room that's free at the time. I hope more will join us - last year I once said it with 3 others in the office. Now that I'm more familiar and comfortable with the devotion, it's become more natural to share it, and I have more confidence that much good will come out of it.

    Not only is the Divine Mercy sweeping in its universality, it's an excellent intro to our Catholic faith!

    May all of us who are called to be apostles of Divine Mercy benefit from JPII's prayers in these coming months!

    Devotion to Devine Mercy was reserved to the Later Days:

    The Final outporing of the love of God, the great foresahadowing of the Illumination of Concience and what is to come as we live; in our owm time the pages of the Apocalypse;

    A great Mystery, on the one hand Justice

    on the other

    Mercy

    I have to say of all I have read and seen of this Devotion, none moves me more than mother Angelica's recital on EWTN , not reading or thinking, but doing in prayer;

    I will will dedicate you in prayer to St Jospeh P. he has a very special role in this:

    For about a year now, I have had an alarm set to go off on my cell phone at 3 pm every day. I can't say that I recite the chaplet every day, but every day "Stairway to Heaven" plays for me at 3 o'clock, reminding me of His divine mercy. WhenI am in a position to be able, I do the chaplet. When I am not able, at least I can say a little prayer silently in my heart acknowledgimg it.

    That is exactly what I do Momscalling! Ususally I am at work and most of the time I am able to recite the chaplet but if I cant I think about His Fountain of Mercy for a minute.
