update: we went to see the specialist today and he is very pleased - eye pressure is low (vvvv good) and scar tissue is minimal (essential it does not get any worse). So, thank you for all your concern and prayers. Laurence has a cataract in his other eye, which has an old detached retina and doesn't see as well anyway. But with the cataract gone I am convinced that his sight would be that much better. No one likes operations but I am trying to persuade him to get it done.
Thank the Good Lord for hearing and answering. My husband was 12 when he was shot in the eye with a beebee. He had a cloud over his eye until he went in for surgery at around age 61. He was floored at how easy the surgery was, and how wonderful it was to have a new lens in his eye and see clearly again. After all those years, and the technology on eye surgery is VERY good now. Tell your husband about my husband's experience. Prayers coming. The surgery is quick and all that is involved really afterward is eyedrops and a post exam.
