Hello all my friends, unfortunately we got some bad news today, we found out that my father has lymphoma and now we are waiting to find out what type it is. I know the Lord is the great physician and that nothing is impossible for him so I am trying to stay positive and keep praying. I just want to say thank you all once again for your prayers and ask you to continue to keep my father and my family in your prayers as I will keep all of you in my prayers as I ask the Lord to bless each and every one of you for your immeasurable kindness and compassion! God Bless, Nick
You have my prayers too Just to say that my cousin had lymphoma, went through treatment and has survived in good health for at least 15 years. So we will pray for the Lord to heal your Dad.
Nick, I'm sorry to hear that it's lymphoma. Your father is still in my prayers. May the Divine Physician heal Carmen. Amen.
Truly sorry nick for your father's diagnosis and all the pain and worry you are all enduring St Peregrine is the Saint for cancer. Will keep you and your dad in my prayers Mary
The Holy Spirit recently taught me this prayer ~ Blood and Water, Heart of Jesus, I trust in You. I will say it for your needs.
To all my friends here....I am so sorry that I have not been on here, I have been spending time with my father (Carmen). I am very sorry to say that he passed away today, but I just wanted give everyone my heart-felt thank you for all the kindness and compassion that everyone has shown me. Please keep my father in your prayers....he was not a church-goer but he had a really big heart and always tried to help out anyone he could. I tried to mention everyone's name on this thread who was kind enough to pray for my father but I have not been on here much so if I haven't mentioned you then please forgive me....it's been a really bad few weeks for me. God Bless each and everyone here! Sincerely, Nick
Dear Nic I am sorry for your loss but how wonderful you were able to be with him. I will put Carmen on my “holy souls” list starting tonight. And I will pray for you. Grief is a terrible wrenching pain. I know. It washes over like a wave and pulls you out to sea and exhausts you as you try to swim back. Offer it for your father. It is a heartfelt offering that heaven will accept for your father. I will tell you what a very Holy woman told me to pray when I lost my son and I was worried because he had left the Church. “Heavenly Father please let the Blood of Christ ftom Calvary drip upon (name)’s soul.” She said it was very very powerful. Also I am guessing that soon you will receive a consolation—a dream or a message of some kind that will bring you peace. God bless you Nic.
AED, thank you so much for your post and I can tell you know the kind of grief I am feeling and I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son, and I will surely keep you and your son in my prayers. The worst thing for me is the last 4 days of my fathers life he was kept alive by machines and he was not conscious so I was not able to communicate with him....it was heart-wrenching to say the least! Thank you for your advice and I will pray what the Holy woman said to pray when you lost your son.....I hope I will receive some consolation soon because I am feeling very broken at the moment....thank you again for your kind words AED, may God Bless you AED for your kindness! Sincerely, Nick
Nick you are so welcome. I am visiting my favorite monastery today--wonderful holy place --and I will put you and your father on their prayer list. Thank you for your kind words about my son. The Blessed Mother got me through it. I begged her to stand with me at the foot of my cross and she did. I got strength to bear it. I know she will do that for you. Those last 4 days with your father you must believe that Jesus was communicating with him even if you couldn't. And his guardian angel was as well. I am sure that his soul was working out a lot of things with Jesus during that time. So much we don't know about the merciful and mysterious ways of God. Keep trusting and offering your suffering. Your brokenness united to the Sacred Heart a nd offered for your father is the greatest gift you could give. The Blessed Mother will see to everything. Keep asking g her. Truly. She will be there.
