I do get the impression of inner , not purely physical causes, but what do I know? May God guide and heal.
Are the lesions like little raised white things? I used to get those on the inside of my lower lip from biting the skin when I get anxious (it was usually around exams). They're saliva glands that have burst and the saliva leaks out. These all sound like they might be psychological, like from dealing with something traumatic. Has her personality changed at all?
Thank you for that insight. It is true that she suffers from a panic disorder and that her unknown illness has caused her to feel more anxious and also depressed. I very much appreciate your prayers that the answers will be revealed. A problem we have here in New Zealand is that in our Public Health system, our Doctors are under stress and they don't have time to dig for the answers to mysteries. But prayer can solve that problem, even if it is guidance to seek a second opinion i.e. to change Doctors.

The lesions are true Apthous ulcers. Some people get these when they are run down, but they are also a big feature of Behcet's Disease, so I am always concerned when I see my children gettting them because I am afraid I may have passed Behcet's disease on, genetically. She did have a difficult incident happen with her work, in the month leading up to her becoming physically ill, and it really stressed her out so that could have triggered something in the physical.
Offering up mass this morning. It is good the way people keep adding to a thread like this as it keeps this in mind for prayers. It is dark and Sunday morning here and I am just getting ready for early mass in Clonard Monastery. Praying for tohers is such a good way to stretch the heart. It teaches me too to count my blessings. So much sadness and pain in the world. It teaches a longing and hope for the perfections of heaven. Just imagine , 'Every tear will be wiped away'. Incredible. Thank you, Padraig, it is such a comfort to know there is prayer going up to Heaven for Holly. Prayer is one thing that cannot be taken away from us.
Lumena, I just saw this post. I will be offering up prayers for your daughter's spiritual, physical and emotional healing this morning at Mass. May she be comforted by our Lord Jesus and our most gracious mother, Mary.
Lumena, we will pray for Holly today also. It may take time to figure out what is going on especially in the young. Doctor's can be a bit baffled by afflictions like this because her symptoms are all very general. I fell sick at about the same age and it took quite a while to figure it out. Ask the doctors when they run her blood panel to check her inflammation levels, it is a simple test. Inflammation in the body will cause all these symptoms. God bless and don't worry. Have her offer her suffering in prayer for the saving of souls and those in purgatory with no one to pray for them. This brings comfort when I am suffering greatly knowing that in some small way it can help others.
Thank you Don_D . Yes it could be inflammation. Although Holly is a Christian, she is not a practising Catholic at this stage and wouldn' t be very receptive to the idea of offering up suffering. But I can see signs that she is attracted to come back to the Church.
