It reminds me of the feeling of doom after the assassination of JFK.

I was so sad and shocked to hear of Charlie Kirk's murder this morning. I used to really love listening to him debating students on campus, such a fine mind with a great grasp of the facts. It was wonderful to see the American Principle of Free Speech in operation for all the World to see, a lesson to us all. Most of all I admired his courage and commitment to his beliefs. Such a courageous principled young man.

More than anything I am saddened for America and the American people at this time. Such a very serious blow to Free Speech, Unity and Peaceful co existence.

I have not really had any time to read up on this horrible shooting but already their seems lots of questions about how this happened , who was behind it and how the whole evil act was engineered.

Anyhow prayers for Charlie's soul, for his wife and children, his whole family connection , friends and co workers and for all the poor young people who witnessed this terrible event. Prayers for those investigating this that they will make a sincere attempt to arrive at the truth.

God Bless American and the Great American people, left and right. Prayers for all Americans. May God Grant them Peace and Unity.

May God forgive these stokers of hate; the BBC was nearly as bad as well.

Yes Bobby. It is exactly that. And we are all of us coming to terms with that reality in these last hours. Where it goes from here who knows? It was a savage and deliberate provocation to the Christian world view. And a threat to any other public figure who dares to hold that view.

In the last week or two, we have seen a notorious murder of little Catholic children at Mass by a transexual pervert, an utterly horrific, unprovoked fatal stabbing of a Ukrainian woman by a black man and now a premeditated, clinical assassination of a prominent young Republican by a person unknown, but we can likely guess the politics. What seems to be common to all these atrocities is that they were perpetrated by what is essentially the coalition that votes for the Democratic Party.

I don't know how Christian America can solve this, but I suggest they might be best advised fighting for their own country instead of Israel.

I can only open the second of your three links, but it is enough to strongly suggest that Mr Kirk was beginning to turn away from supporting Israel. Given his influence on Donal Trump, there is a motive for the forces of Zion, within the US, especially the CIA. This assassination was not done by an angry amateur.

No. It was not an amateur. It was a carefully executed professional hit. That is obvious to everyone now I think. Therefore the perpetrator may never be caught. I was not aware of Chsrlie's changing views on the Gaza issue. That would have been a momentous shift indeed. A powerful counterbalance to the current evangelical stance on the issue and very very influential.

Will Pope Leo comment on the assassination in his home country?

Was the arrest of the 'suspect' who was later released a decoy to facilitate the assassin to get away undetected?

A quote from a newsletter - ''Kirk was controversial, yes, but he wasn’t cruel. His death feels existential for many — a seismic moment that some are already comparing to the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the spark that set off World War I.''
    God help us..

Someone else commented--a college student i think--this may be our "Yamamoto moment". When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor General Yamamoto did not join the victorious celebrations. He said "I fear we have o nly awakened a sleeping giant."

As a deer hunter since a very young age, I don't think it was a professional at all. A professional would not have hit the neck. They shoot for head or center mass and don't miss their target from 150 yards out. Heck they don't miss from 1-2 miles out! This was a high powered rifle round from an elevated position and not a difficult shot to make. I could tell it was a high powered round just by the force and way his shirt moved first. Easily a 308, 270, 30-30 or 30-06 is my guess. Would be surprised if it was an AR, but they may say it was because that has been the narrative for a long time to take away the AR but didn't seem like a high powered enough round to me.

Any hunter in this shot would have aimed high given the decline angle of the shot but a high powered round at that distance would have only dropped maybe half inch. I would suspect wind was at play here but to me this person aimed for center head and thus the bullet would have ended up below and at the neck. Since they were not a professional they would not have taken into account the wind if any or their own nerves thus why it hit the neck where it did. They most likely were aiming high at the head because 1. they didn't know what they were doing or 2. because they they did and thought aiming here would hit the chest vs the neck. Just my take but if it was a pro, we will never find the real killer but again a pro would never have hit the neck unless by accident because the target moved like Trump did, but Charlie did not move. Now it could have been a pro that wanted to make it look like an amateur and then they will find some scapegoat to crucify over this.

I am so sad and angry for this especially for his young kids. They will grow up barely remembering their dad and when they look for video they will see so many horrific angles of their father's death. I wish all those videos could be taken off the internet so when they grow up they won't have to see the horrific videos of him that I have seen. So so sad.

"My job every single day is actively trying to stop a revolution. This is where you have to try to point them towards ultimate purposes and towards getting back to the church, getting back to faith, getting married, having children. That is the type of conservatism that I represent, and I'm trying to trying to paint a picture of virtue of lifting people up, not just staying angry."

    Andy, you were right.

It seems that the transexuals are going to get the blame, whether it was them or not:

It seems to me, if one wanted to set up a group as a scapegoat for violent crime, one would ideally promote one which was so almost universally repugnant that when the opportunity arose, most people, even those foolish enough to accommodate them, would be very eager to turn on them.

Something I just read said Charlie may have been wearing a vest. That makes more sense to me now given all the movement of his clothes at impact. Likely shooter was aiming center mass, it hit the vest and that made it ricochet upwards through his neck like we saw. Just so mad about this still and not scared because I only fear the Lord but concerned about other Christians. This trend has been increasing of late. Be smart my friends when going to mass. Don't sit in pews closest to the doors would be my suggestion. Some of you good, law biding gun owners may even want to speak to your priest about conceal carry. The war on Christians in the US is becoming dangerously obvious.

I hope this is the case and we see many more like Charlie. Charlie Kirk was very, very popular with young college students. He was in a sense interrupting their indoctrination by radical liberals who have infiltrated our finest educational institutions. He was a major threat to the Leftist agenda.
